14 Jun An Easy Summer “Uniform”
An easy uniform for summer is this 3 piece outfit I am wearing today. Kimono, camisole and light jeans.

How was your weekend friends?
I can’t believe it is half way through June. We spent part of the weekend at the pool and I did pop into the mall to look around a bit. I did hope to get a Friday post out last week, but a family health issue had to take precedent. My hubby is in PA this week to help in the matter.
Today I am sharing this easy outfit “uniform” to wear in the early summer when there are cooler days or you just want a 3rd piece to keep you cool in the air conditioning. Why is it so cold in restaurants?
I do love a long kimono, giving you a long lean line over a column look. This creates the visual of one long line of color ( black, white, whichever color you choose. ) Pair the top and the shorts/pants in the same shade. Add the kimono and it will be the centerpiece of your look.
There are so many options for kimonos out there, and I am just sharing my small collection here.
I was in the mood for pink on this day and I am wearing a shorter floral kimono with my H&M camisole, light AG jeans and my pale pink Andre Assous espadrilles.
Typically, I like to wear my kimonos over jeans or over shorts for the warmer months, but you could certainly wear a long kimono over a sleeveless maxi dress for coverage. You can also wear a light kimono as a bathing suit coverup. I bought this one recently to go with my suit.

I couldn’t find the exact pieces, so I found similar pieces I thought you would enjoy.

Henry
Well, below is a picture my hubby took of “Henry the Heron”. Yes, I named him. Isn’t he a beautiful bird? We were taking photos at Turtle Bay, and he was perched on this bit of land, looking for fish. I love animals and wildlife. I told you about the baby bunnies in our neighbor’s yard, in a burrow. The back of our house is woods and nature trail, so we get our fair share of bunnies, chipmunks, squirrels, birds and other little creatures. I would love a “wildlife cam” to just see what comes up at night.
Are you a fan of Kimonos? I’d love to hear how you style them.

Posted at 04:30h, 14 JuneI do love a kimono – they really are so versatile and the perfect completer piece for this time of year. I am always on the hunt for a good one in a pretty color. As much as I love long ones, shorter ones are even better! Henry the Heron is certainly beautiful!

Posted at 10:25h, 18 JuneThanks friend! Yes, he is. I enjoy the different lengths as well. My favorite of these is the brown print Caite and Kyla shorter one.
