Cat eye: Spec-Tacular with Readers.com

IMG_1305 (Custom) IMG_1281 (Custom) IMG_1289 (Custom) IMG_1293 (Custom) IMG_1296 First of all I love the cat-eye look !The last time I was glasses shopping, I took a lot longer than my husband, as the salesman  kept saying, “He has THE PERFECT face for practically any frame here.” He then found 2 pair for me, and I liked them but did not love. Well, it was quite a project finding a pair I like, as you can see I have a certain face shape that works with some frames and not others. Do not hand me those round little John Lennon glasses, or tell me my face is so petite that I might have to go to the kid’s section! I finally found a pair I really liked and it is a cat-eye, albeit subtle, but cat eye shape. So, when Krista, from Readers.com, asked if I would style frames for the company, I was more than happy to! They have very well made, well-constructed readers, at a great price, with a ton of style!

The pair I am wearing here today comes from Make a Statement Collection, on their site. When I got this style, known as The Brit, I knew I was in love. First, it combined two of my favorites, the leopard print, and the cat-eye. Second, I am a  Anglo-phile, who generally likes most things Brit-ish. Tea, BBC, Murder Mysteries, and now Brit, the frames. These are readers, so when you are in need of glasses for reading close to the computer, your favorite book, etc, they are lovely, as they are stylish, and let you see the small print.

There are plenty of styles, colors, and shapes to choose from and in the next  post I will be displaying a different pattern and style, and what I thought would look good styled with the frames. So,check out the line, the Make a Statement Collection, and while you are their just pop around and see the other styles. I decided that these glasses, since they have a beautiful leopard pattern, would look fun and a bit funky with a bit of vintage, with my fur cardigan and gold pearl brooch, in addition to a bit trendy, with boyfriend jeans, and some leopard flats.

*Glasses  gifted c/o readers.com, Opinion is that of my own.

Visiting from Monday Bloom linkup- cute glasses and shoes. I also love Vogue- but its been years since my subscription to them. 🙁 no time for magazine readings with kids.

I know what you are saying, but I don’t have a subscription, and Vogue has some very story telling clothing/scenes, but nothing I could afford. More of a prop 🙂 Glad you liked my glasses!

The whole outfit is great!! The sweater, purse, earrings and of course the shoes too. The glasses definitely complement you too. I don’t know if I’ve seen you in jeans. Good job!

Thank you Erica. The purse is from one of my favorite designers, Rebecca Minkoff. Most sweaters with a fur collar I love to, it just looks vintage and glamorous at the same time! The glasses are from readers.com, and they are a favorite shape for me, love cat eyes! As far as jeans go, I have a closet full, but because of EDS and leg sensitivity, I hadn’t been able to wear them for 6 years, so that was something 🙂

I like how the glasses frame your face and pair with your hair color. It is great to see you wearing jeans for a change. I look forward to seeing more glasses from Readers.com in future posts.

      Thanks Roy.
I think this style works well too, and not every one does on my face. I know I haven’t posted jeans, as this is the first time in 5 years I have been able to wear them due to my chronic disease. Thanks, I hope show my ‘readers” some other really neat styles!

What is the price range for the Readers glasses ? Would like something more stylish than just “reading” glasses. They are very nice looking. Any styles for men?

Thanks so much Pam. I want these glasses to wear everyday, I love the shape and the leopard. I know my PT is going to be proud too as this is the first time in 5 years I have been able to wear jeans, due to my illness. Readers.com has some very nice selections.
