12 Mar Chicos Bold New Spring Arrivals

Morning friends, Happy Monday!

I am so excited to share with you today some pieces from Chico’s Spring Line! If you didn’t read my post about the #HowBoldAreYou Campaign, breaking age barriers and empowering women of any age to be bold and proud to share their age , you can! I love the energy and the intent behind this Campaign and the FB group in which i belong, The Fierce 50. Now, who isn’t ready for some Spring clothes?!

Ah, nothing like getting your hair refreshed to make you feel good! This photo shoot was done over the weekend when my stylist came over to refresh my hair. I needed it! It was at the grey-white-copper stage that looks -oh so dull-stage.. I needed this pick me up! The grey white just doesn’t look that hot with red! Black hair , dark brown is one thing, but … Anyhow, these pics were taken after tomorrow’s post, so my hair might look different.. anyhow.. Moving on…

I know about the beginning of February is when I get a bit antsy for warmer weather and Spring around the corner. By the time March rolls around, I EXPECT it to be Spring like, but we can’t control Mother Nature… I have been trying to send Spring Vibes to her by wearing some Spring looks, in this  post and here, but she has ignored me so far!

Anyhow, Chicos is a company very supportive of women at midlife, and I am thrilled that I was able to choose some pieces from their new collection. I love the colors of this Spring line, blues, periwinkle, cobalt, lavendar, purples along with reds and berrys. Bold prints and soft colors look so beautiful and Spring ready.

By now, you know i am a floral girl. I am not going to make any apologies or excuses for it, I love florals! Florals seem to always be big each Spring and a bold floral pattern with color is going to catch my eye, guarenteed! So when I saw the pattern of this beautiful yellow, lavendar and blue 3/4 length tee, I pictured myself mixing it with many items in my closet. The Bold pattern caught my eye!

When continuing to browse, the soft light blue shade of this gorgeous lace bomber jacket stole my heart! My rule is if I go back and look at an item multiple times, I am in love! When I received it, I was very impressed! I love the well made intricate lace design and the weighty fabric. Not heavy, just very well made This is from Chico’s Black Label, which states,

Refined fabrics. Rich palettes. Tailoring, perfected. Each piece is made to shine.

When you might reach for a white or blue tank with this, I wanted to style this with this vibrant floral top!

I pictured this look with a medium wash denim for Spring and added the perfect touch with my white lace espadrilles, reiterating the lace pattern o the bomber, and my “Tiffany blue” bow drop earrings. This outfit is a amplified casual look and I see myself wearing this bomber in many other ways this spring.

Sizing reference.

Since I hadn’t ordered from them on-line before, I wasn’t sure of the sizing, as Chico’s has their own internal sizing where ( 000 is xxs,)  ( 00 is XS or a size 2, ) (0 is S or a size 4) , etc. I went by the measurements and got both pieces in a 00 or XS and the fit is perfect! Both items are perfectly comfortable and fit to a T. What is great is that now I know what size to expect in tops and jackets from now on.

I do have to point out how aweseome Chicos was with their fast overnight shipping, great service!

Chicos also has a line of slimming pants in wonderful bold prints as well as traditional colors.Their lovely flowy runanas in blue and poppy prints are also lovely for a new addition to your wardrobe.
