I’m wearing a bold print today from Clara Sun Woo.
Clara Sun Woo- Styling a Large Print
Hi friends! I hope you all had a great weekend. We went to my sister’s boyfriends house, and we celebrated my brother’s birthday. He’s the big 4-2! Yes, the baby in the family. We had a great time, and I got to play with the little peanut, also known as Simba, a 13-year-old Chihuahua with 2 teeth! But he loved being on my lap, so all was good.
You have heard me talk about Clara Sun Woo before, and I will continue to share pieces here on the blog as well as social media. By the way, do you follow me on INSTAGRAM? I am active there as well.
Besides the floral maxi dress, the print on this two-piece set, caught my eye straightaway! The large print in white on the navy background looked so chic to me. It goes without saying some ladies thought it was a jumpsuit, but it is a top and pants. Clara Sunwoo, has this marvelous print in a jumpsuit, and it looks beautiful on. I, however, am sharing this look, as I love a one shoulder top (prefer it over the over the shoulder top looks from about 4-5 years ago). I also just bought this BRA and will keep you posted on how I like it.
The wide leg paisley pants are in the same wonderful, bold print, and they have a 2-inch smooth waist band. (No tight elastic). They are a soft material and have a beautiful flow to them. They also have pockets and a wide leg. They come in black as well as other prints such as this.
I styled it with the navy and white being replicated in my handbag (leather Tresje bag) and my Zara strappy sandals. I look forward to wearing this in the Summer too, as the material will keep you cool, and I’ll be styling both pieces separately with white trousers or jeans and the pants with a fitted top. It is about proportions here. If you have a fitted top, a flowier bottom tends to look better, and vice versa.
You could certainly add a pop of color with the neutrals of navy and white. Magenta, or the Color of the Year, would be beautiful with these colors. Also, a red bag or some earrings, would be a great combination.
I love that the brand is run by women, a mother and daughter team, in NY. The clothing doesn’t wrinkle and is perfect for travel too. I think I mentioned that we have planned a trip to Martha’s Vineyard in May, as we had to use our flight credit from cancelling Italy. My family has gone there, and they have said how much they enjoyed it. I had to think of a location that wasn’t too far, so I didn’t have to sit too long on a plane, and Boston is 2 hours away. We then take a ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. My hubby mentioned that we could get there directly from Boston in a Cessna, in 45 minutes! Ah, what part of “don’t like airplanes” doesn’t he understand? Afraid in a big jet= not ever going on a small, private plane! I’ll be sharing some of the trip on social media.
I plan on creating a Capsule travel wardrobe, and much of the CSW pieces will go with me. I will also wear these separately, the top with white trousers or some white jeans. I just bought these white jeans, so we’ll see how they fit. Clara Sunwoo also has some great white pants, I could see this top with these beauties!

Posted at 12:06h, 19 MarchHi Jess!
I love this two piece set that worn together looks like a jumpsuit! The one shoulder is so flatter. I agree the black and white allows you to add any pop of color for some added interest!
Beautiful on you!

Posted at 20:26h, 15 MarchI thought it was a jumpsuit! But even better that’s it’s a two piece because that takes care of the bathroom ordeal!! I love the print too. It is very stunning and perfect for weekend getaways or vacation. You look fantastic in this Jess!

Posted at 13:42h, 15 MarchThis post made me do a double-take—I thought you were wearing a jumpsuit! Love that it’s actually 2 matching pieces. (I am not a fan of jumpsuits personally but love them on other people—I hate getting naked every time I have to pee!)

Posted at 09:50h, 14 MarchI love this print: I am always drawn to navy and white together. I really like the fluidity of the pants and the one shoulder is fun. I will need to think about trying something that is one shoulder.

Posted at 08:39h, 14 MarchI totally love this look on you! Beautiful! It will be perfect for your trip in May. I love flying on a big jet. (Of course, I wanted to be an astronaut once.) It’s a lot safer than driving. And while I would probably enjoy a small plane too, it might give me pause because they aren’t as well regulated.
