07 Apr Egg-cellent Easter Outfit Ideas for Women
Are you ready for some egg-cellent Easter outfit ideas? Are you still stumped at what to wear?
Eastertime was always special at our house. I grew up in a Roman Catholic household, and am part Ukrainian, so our traditions were to have our Easter baskets blends at the Ukrainian Church in Pittsburgh, and also to have a meatless dinner on Good Friday. My mom always made some kind of fish.
Another part of the celebration was all of us wearing our Sunday’s best. Our Easter Sunday’s best. I do remember being excited picking out an Easter dress to wear, and we would all dress up to go to Mass. We did not think to wear jeans or informal garb, but looked forward to dressing nicely for Church.
Today I am sharing some of my Easter outfits from the past and give you ideas for the Special Day. We will be heading over to my brother’s house after Mass, and enjoying a brunch with a dip in the hot tub. (That may be a new tradition!)
With religious services, and Easter Sunday Mass, modesty should be a factor. Think of your Sunday’s best, a bit elevated. Remember, ladies used to wear hats all of the time on Easter. “Dressing down” wasn’t a thing!
We would learn some sayings in Ukrainian and upon seeing the priest, would say Khrystos Voskres!! (Christ has risen)

Pink and Green
Pink is a color which represents the Resurrection and purity of Jesus Christ. It is also a joyous color!
Kelly Green is worn by priests after Easter, symbolizing the promise of New Life. (According to the Christians Resource Institute)
Hot pink or bright fuchsia, is a very hot color, trending right now. It has been trending for Spring, and you can find it at many retailers. Perhaps you have it in your closet already.
I absolutely love the mix of pink and green, and if it doesn’t sound like Spring, what does? Think of those tulips or pink peonies you have in your garden. The look is so fresh, I am on the hunt myself.
These high waisted palazzo pants are elegant, and if not for Easter, would make a great piece for a Spring look.
Not only do these satin palazzo pants look comfortable, but they are a pretty green shade that will go with many colors.
Looking for kelly green? These suit pants are dressy, but you can dress them down with some sneakers.
Have a green blouse? This pair of hot pink linen pants would make a great outfit.
Floral Dresses
Spring is always a time for floral dresses. You have heard the saying, “florals for Spring? Groundbreaking.”
Well, pick a pretty floral dress and accessorize with some floral earrings.

I tend to like bold floral prints, but there are many options to choose from.
The sleeves can be on the shoulders with this dress, making it more appropriate.
Pastels
Don’t you think of Easter when you think of pastel shades? Well, there are plenty of those out in the shops as well. You may have some in your closet. Did you used to decorate Easter eggs in pastel colors? Remember the kits? We also learned to try our hand in decorating Ukrainian eggs with wax. They are quite delicate and such an art.
I love the look of this baby blue blazer and trouser set. Add a pretty patterned scarf and sandals, and there you have it!

Here is something I would wear for Easter. I am wearing a pink light sweater, a floral scarf ( love this one too)and an eyelet white skirt.
Soft Neutrals – Blazer and Midi Skirt
Add a soft colored scarf to this elegant look. READ ORIGINAL POST HERE.
Even if you already picked out what you are wearing, any of these pieces would be a great addition to your Spring wardrobe.
What are you wearing on Easter? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
Have a wonderful and Blessed Easter!

Posted at 11:40h, 07 AprilEaster is special to my family also. I remember my mom making me and my sisters dresses and then my brothers shirts all in the same fabric. We would go to Church in our clothes made with such love. That was taking mommy and me dressing to a whole new level Ha ha. Love your dresses and the explanation of the colors meanings. I love the thought behind the green.
Peace!
