Turning Heads Linkup-Joseph Ribkoff Military Jacket Outfit

Atten-hut! DId I get your attention? Well, I am dressing in the “military style” today.. 🙂 If you didn’t get a chance to read about the comfortable and stylish shoes from  yesterday’s post on  Adrian Allen Shoes, do so especially if you are looking for a comfortable shoe for the Holidays!

As we get closer to Christmas, I always tend to reflect at the end of the year about things in which I am grateful. I have really enjoyed getting to know people better on the blog, and enjoy the supportive environment it offers. I am looking forward to spending time with family, in Pennsylvania and having the puppies with us this time. I have always been big on Christmas, celebrating, enjoying Holiday food and drinks and giving gifts. You saw a few weeks ago my Post about Joseph Ribkoff, a premier Canadian designer that is sold at 1ereAvenue. I wore an eye catching lace red top and black slacks. Today I am sharing another look with you from Joseph Ribkoff, and the second look I styled from 1ereAvenue.

The military look is still a popular one, with buttoned coats and military jackets with excellent detailing. This Joseph Ribkoff Military jacket caught my eye! With the gold buttons, cut of the jacket and flared style, i knew it was a jacket that could go the extra mile in my closet.

About the jacket   “This three-quarter length princess jacket by Joseph Ribkoff stuns. The tailored waist and flared hem create a feminine silhouette that contrasts beautifully with military-style detailing. Embossed, gold-hued buttons are cradled by contrasting buttonholes. With decorative seam-work and detailing on vertical-seam pockets. Sleeves are cuffed.” *credit 1ereAvenue site.

The quality is amazing. The jacket is weighty and of excellent workmanship, and I love the button holes trimmed in a taupe stitching.

I love the leg detail here!

( I wanted to demonstrate the length of the sleeves is perfect as well for someone who has long limbs!)

I could wear it with a faux leather pants, a pencil skirt, skinny jeans or as in this case, Id chosen these Joseph Ribkoff black  beautiful pants .

The “stretchy, figure hugging pants have an elasticized waist and ankle-length hem. Decorative rivets, pockets, and detailed seam-work lend a jeans-style air to this classic Joseph Ribkoff design. A domed cut-out at the back of each leg features lace-up detailing.”  I loved that they were a silky knit that was a bit softer on my skin. I also fell in love with the  criss cross design on the lower pant leg showing a distinctive style. The slim style pant balanced out the  more voluminous flared jacket, making for a striking proportion. I am wearing a size 4 in both the pant and the jacket . The jacket has a fitted look, but still plenty of room for comfort.

I decided to add to the festive look with my gold bow bag and added a pop of color with my Marc fisher pointed lace up wedges.

Do check out the beautiful jackets from Joseph Ribkoff and 1ereAvenue as well as their selection of pants. This collection, at 1ereAvenue, is noted by a preference for black and white, with colors added in tops and jackets. For the Spring ’18 collection, you will see the black and white staples as well as floral patterns, stripes and some bright colors such as azure blue and powder pink. You know I love the florals, so THIS, THIS AND THIS DRESS  I am loving!

WOW these Ribkoff pieces are stunning and perfect for the Holidays. I love how it looks like a fun suit without being one. The marionette Christmas soldier style on that jacket is perfect for Christmas. And of course styled to perfection with the low-heel red pumps and gorgeous gold jewelry which makes this outfit even more festive for all the December holidays. This is my favorite outfit you have worn in 2017 Jess!

Also, thank you so much for Pin of the week! I love that golden black metallic wrap dress so much!

There’s a store downtown where I live that carries the line. When I first discovered it I was really impressed by the quality and attention to detail. The jacket and pants are two great examples. Love the contrast bound buttonholes and the lattice back pants. Truly outstanding features. And, of course, love how you accessorized. The touches of red are perfect.

Hope you have a wonderful time with your family.

Jess, I love military inspired anything! This looks great on you. I just received a black military style jacket that I still need to show on the blog. I am really liking the way you styled yours with all black and those adorable red shoes! we are heading to Pennsylvania as well on Saturday morning and will be there until Wednesday. I suppose with all the holiday obligations with family, this may not be a great time to schedule a little blogger meet up…but the next time you are in Pennsylvania without a crazy holiday schedule to keep, we need to meet up for sure! Safe travels, my friend and many blessings to you this holiday season!
