02 Feb Maroon, Florals and Some Hair Care
Hello Ladies,
Today is a pretty cold day here, but the sun is at least shining. I have been noticing on a few blogs that it seems we are looking toward spring.
For me, January/Feb is about the time I start to think about spring fashion and spring outfits. The best I can do at present, however is to incorporate florals into my look. I am SUCH a floral girl, I think I always have been. For me, I just think of florals as feminine, pretty and elegant. Many florals have a vintage-type print which appeals to me.
In showing you some of my LBD’s in the past, I also have a bit of a fondness for sweater dresses. I love the comfort and ease, as well as the versatility they offer.
What else do some of us ladies like to do when the winter blahs hit? I don’t know about everyone, but a pick me up is going to the salon, getting a deep conditioning or shine treatment, and haircut, and later as the months grow closer, I will get my french pedicure. I also got my caterpillar eyebrows threaded today as, like I said, they were representing said furry little creatures.
When I get a haircut, I get a “haircut”. Probably about an inch off the back, and the front in layers to frame the face. The stylist doesn’t curl my hair, so as you see it is pencil straight as can be. At times, I like my hair this naturally straight, but to get it to have body an curl, I use hot rollars. It was nice to have a bit of pampering with another lovely moisturized hand massage, while my hair was being washed.Just in case you were wondering, I use Kerastase, a product in which i use one pump on wet hair and it really leaves my hair soft and shiny.*
What is it that you like to do, to prepare for spring? Do you buy a few spring items for your wardrobe? Get a new bright colored or pastel manicure? Lastly, are you a floral girl?

Posted at 23:29h, 08 FebruaryI love florals and wear them year round. I don’t think I do anything different to prepare for spring but I think that’s probably because the weather is mainly warm and sunny all year round. This week is going to be in the 80s which I am so not ready for.

Posted at 10:21h, 09 FebruaryWow. The 80s We had almost 70 here yesterday. I know once you get into the winter wardrobe vibe, it can be hard to transition to spring so quick! My bro in law grew up in Hawaii, hoping to visit there sometime. Enjoy your week! xx

Posted at 16:17h, 02 FebruaryLoving all of those colors. I’m definitely going to have to try that for my hair. My hair is so fried from the coloring and this weather is making it so extremely dry it’s depressing!

Jess Jannenga
Posted at 18:45h, 04 FebruaryThank you Lena! Where are you? See, I am in North Carolina and we have a pretty mild winter. I could understand needed warmer clothes. I would typically have on a wrap winter coat in Oxblood, but don’t always wear it for the photos. Thanks for stopping by!
