Mott & Bow Mom Jeans for a Change of Pace in Denim

Mott & Bow mom jeans and plaid blazer

Hmm. Mom jeans are ba- ack! These are the new and improved Mom jeans though. Not your standard 1980 something Mom jean that made butts look bigger and were just, not all that flattering.

Mott & Bow Mom jeans

No, the mom jean of today, has a straight slim leg, high waist and fit that feels oh so good.

Now, the question is. “Can I wear mom jeans if I am not a mom?”

Well, I am . A Dog Mom. That counts!

Mott & Bow makes premium denim with out the premium denim cost, and the quality is there.

I reviewed and styled Mott& Bow jeans in this post- Wearing High Rise Skinny Jeans from Mott & Bow

and in this post-Mott & Bow Premium Denim for Less

I wanted a change from skinny jeans, although I will still wear them, but wanted to try on a looser style which is trending now.

Trends do not rule my fashion choices, but I do like a bit of a shift with denim, allowing me to indulge the mood I am in . Whether I want to wear boyfriend jeans, wide leg or straight, depends on my mood for the day.

Mott & Bow and My Outfit

Mott & Bow gifted me this pair of Mom jeans in Ridge wash, a medium blue with 2% stretch. What I love is that , there is enough stretch for comfort, but not too much that it is not going to feel like denim or stretch out. Mott & Bow jeans hold their shape, which is just one of the reasons why i love this company.

I do love the higher waisted style as I have a smaller waist and longer torso, the waist line, hits a little above the belly button, so perfect for the fit. These jeans are the Ridge Mom Jeans, a medium weight denim with a medium blue indigo wash.

  • Fabric Weight: Medium; 12.4 oz
  • Fabric Composition: 94% Cotton; 5% Polyester; 1% Elastane
  • Stretch Factor: 23% elasticity; Comfort stretch
  • High rise of 10.25″

I am wearing my normal jean size a 27 ( 4) and it is the perfect fit. I do love that they do not get “saggy bottom syndrome” after wearing all day, and they are slightly cropped, which look great with some loafers or ballet flats as well.

I styed it with one of their fitted v-neck tees, and boy, are they soft! They feel like buttah because of the fabric content-:-)

  • Fabric Composition: 50% Pima cotton; 50% Modal

Burgundy is one of my favorite  colors for Fall , and this tee would be great for layering under a jacket or as a transitional top between Summer and Fall. The  tees come in long sleeve, stripes and other colors.

Mixing  up some prints in today’s look, wearing a plaid blazer, with leopard heels and a leopard scarf. I added these warmer tones near my face and to correspond with the burgundy tee.

Mott & Bow’s Mission – ( from website)

“Using the finest denim fabrics from the best mills in the world and applying the manually intensive artistic processes in the laundry we transform the denim and make it look effortless. We stick to simplicity as our core design philosophy. With a 32-year denim heritage, our experience is second to none.”

Just as a reminder, when ordering from Mott & Bow, they have a Home Try on Program, where you can choose two waist sizes, keep the one that fits best, and return the other with a prepaid envelope. Love that!

Coupon Code

is JESSICA10 It offers 10% off for first-time customers, only one-time use.

On another note, I have been wanting to get my Fall decor down, but I went up to our attic and it was like a sauna! Have to wait until things cool down a bit more!

I had to sit in the jeans to test the comfort level as well! (You should do this in a dressing room when trying on jeans)  What’s the point if you buy “standing jeans”, ( jeans that you can only be comfortable standing up). These pass  the “Sit Test”.

Have you tried Mott & Bow jeans? Are you a fan of Mom jeans?

I have the t-shirt in white and never want to take it off! I agree, the Mom jeans of today are so different and much easier to wear. They’re on my fall shopping list. Love the plaid and leopard accents in your outfits. XO Nipa | Fashionipa

Thank you Kellyann! Yes, that is a great feature – their try on program. The tee is so soft and is just a great basic to wear under jackets as we transition into Fall.

Love the jeans and I really like that Mott & Bow lets you try two sizes! It’s hard to buy online when you aren’t sure what will fit best so thank goodness for good shopping policies. This outfit is so pretty on you, I like burgundy too and of course I love the leopard!
    xo,
