02 May Orchid, floral in a casual way
Today was a dog lovers dream day. I know my one pup, Gibson, looks forward to it. Truffles on the other hand, enjoys it, but gets a little apprehensive. I am talking about an event in the Lake Norman area, called Bark in the Park. So many dogs, so little time. My husband tells me, I am like a kid, where I go up to strangers and ask if I can pet their dog. Well, I think it only polite It is a day where there are contests: Cutest Dog, Look-alike with their owner contest ( we could have participated in that one!) agility testing, and then, pool jumping for distance. That is fun to watch! I was hoping their was a contest for catching popcorn in their mouth, or diving for small rubber balls, as I have not seen any small dog like a shih tzu do this and Gibby does. Truffy can almost walk across the room on her hind legs, but, alas no contest.
So, instead it was about mingling. Truffles is very shy and basically would hide behind me or my husband, while Gibby was checkin out all the cute girl dogs. I think if he could talk, he would be like Joey from Friends saying, ” How YOU Doin’?” He is just outgoing, it is fun to watch all the personalities of the dogs. So, needless to say, I wasn’t going to dress up or dress my dog like me or anything funny like that. No midi or long skirts, fancy dresses here. I decided to opt for a casual pair of cargo pants in olive, a floral pink, green, blue top, and an orchid purple colored cardigan over this. My shoes are one of my favorite Clark Artisians as they have leather flowers on top, very springy, and their footbed is like stepping on pillows. So, I wanted to look nice, but appropriate for the occasion. My earrings were chandelier pink from Jewel Box. Overall, it was a Dog Day afternoon..

I love the shade of orchid , it it’s a little bit like lilac with a touch of reddish pink. It is super on you with your coloring. I also love it over the floral blouse. Is a great day for walking the dog and you are looking so gorgeous. Kisses, Elle

I know I dress up much of the time, but there are days where you don’t want to, or you are going to an event like this Bark in the Park with my dogs, where one can’t walk around in heels and a big full skirt. Posted at 10:03h, 02 MayOk now, I am sure you look great it it as well. I liked the color when I bought it last year. Cargo pants were really big a year or 2 ago, and I still love them, comfort and ease, and sometimes I need a casual day. I appreciate it!!! xx jess Have a nice weekend.
