26 Oct Shopping My Closet – Snake Skin Dress with Plum Accessories
Hello friends!
I typically have a Midlife topic or Inspirational post on Fridays, but I wanted to post this while still on vacation . We took these photos a few weeks ago when it was still warm, in the 80s in NC, so I thought I would just share them with you today, and talk about shopping your closet.
Its funny. I have more Fall and Winter clothes than I do Summer/Spring clothes, even though I have been living here in NC for 15 years. I think its because I just love Fall fabrics and layering, along with beautiful jackets, motos, and cozy sweaters. I have added some new pieces to my Fall wardrobe, but also enjoy shopping my closet, and reaching for that tweed jacket I have not seen in a year. Today, I styled my neutral snake skin dress I I received from Natalie Attired, a box service that I collaborated with a few years ago.
Shopping Your Closet
Despite being a fashion blogger, I do not buy all new and often. As the years go by, I have had the good fortune of working with some great brands, that add to my closet, along with doing a fair amount of shopping second hand.
This dress was gifted to me by Natalie Attired a few years ago ( read about the Box service here in this post – Review of Natalie Attired and the boots were gifted years ago by Marmi Shoes. ( Read-Burgundy Boots-Sesto Meucci from Marmi Shoes)
I love to shop my closet and find new and exciting ways to wear the clothes I have. Do you often pair the same shirt with the same pants? Wear a dress the same way? Well, that is the fun of experimentation and being creative with ones closet. Try taking a jacket with a certain color palette and wearing a top with the same color pallete but different print. Shopping your closet should be fun!
Neutral with Plum Accents
This dress is a great neutral print, as all animal prints are, and can be mixed with other patterns, or in this case, act as neutral base to add color. You will see me style this in different ways, but for today, I styled it with my Marmi plum suede booties ( c/o) and one of my favorite luscious leather bags by designer Treesje.
It was still very warm when I took these pictures before our PA trip, so I added a jean jacket but would style it with more color by adding one of my rich colored suede or leather jackets. You could also wear a neck scarf in any color, as this would add color to this neutral palette.

Posted at 14:39h, 26 OctoberKinda funny but I don’t own a single snakeskin piece! Not sure how that print has eluded me but it has. I love this dress on you and it may sound crazy but I think I actually like it even better with the denim jacket! You wear this look so well and your long legs pull off wearing booties with a dress better than anyone!

Posted at 05:08h, 26 OctoberSnakeskin dress with plum blossom is very beautiful. I saw a nice dress on a website last week, and the price is cheap, but I am worried about the quality problem. Can you give me a look and give me some advice?
