I just love tropical prints and am sharing several looks on the blog this week.  When asked to collaborate with Soft Surroundings, this Tropical print Botanica dress jumped out at me from their new Summer 2021 collection .

Its one of those things on my Life Bucket List. I want to travel more. Due to Covid, we had to postpone our trip to Italy, which would be my first European vacation. Since our 20th Anniversary is next month, we are planning a trip for 2022 to visit.

I also want to visit one of the Islands of the Caribbean. St John, St James… not sure, but crystal clear water beckon me! I want to try snorkeling in those bluest of waters, as I love the water. So tropical islands are not far from my mind.

I think that is why I am drawn to this print! Charlotte can get hot and humid enough in the summer that it feels like a “tropical climate.”

I loved that this dress was a maxi style and the vibrant greens, blues, yellow, lavender colors certainly appealed to me. As much as I love solid color, I tend to steer towards prints in my wardrobe.

The halter style is one you can still wear a regular bra with, and the bows on the shoulder are not adjustable to wear you can change the length, as they are sewn in. You can tie them in a bow, which is a cute detail.

The Botanica dress is 100% cotton, so it is cool and comfortable. Soft Surroundings has also added an attached slip to the bottom part of the dress so that it is not see through. I tend to stick with cotton and linen in the summer months, as they are the most breathable fabrics.

For accessories, I have added my green and gold Kendra Scott earrings, gold necklace and of course my Mango straw clutch. Neutral Sarah Flint sandals add to the look.
