04 Dec Turning Heads Linkup – Grey tones with a Long Cardigan
Hi Friends!
Hard to believe it is December already! Woo-Hoo, let The Countdown begin! I am looking forward to visiting my mom in Pittsburgh, seeing all of my siblings, and my little nephew Aedan, who just turned 1!. Good times ahead! Today I am sharing a neutral look with a pop of color. I chose this rich burgundy necklace, by Earth and Moon designs, which I featured in this POST, If you are dyin for a Holiday look, yesterday I posted a more casual Holiday outfit HERE.
The Weekend
I began work on the Christmas tree and putting up the decor around the house, I will have to get some pics of the tree, as we have quite a few ornaments, as we collect them each year. SSShhh- but I bought hubby an ornament with memories of San Fran. 🙂 Santa Paws bought few gifts for the puppies, and I always anticipate them sniffing and digging their way into their stockings on Christmas Day.
We have been enjoying our Great Room, ever since we had it painted. The calming sea-grey blue has my hubby and I sitting there by the fire in the morning, drinking cafe and working on the computer there. It has been quite nice, but Gibson, my Boy, loves to lay between me and the computer, making it a bit of a challenge when typing for the blog! He loves to be close to mommy!
We saw the movie, Bohemian Rhapsody, the movie about Freddy Mercury and Queen. I. Love. That. Song. I don’t know who could listen to it and NOT sing along. I do my own version of Dana Carvey in SNL’s Wayne’s World, when it comes to singing and headbanging to Bohemian Rhapsody, it is just that classic. The movie was very fun and entertaining, as actor, Rami Malek, ( who plays in a quite different role of Mr. Robot) was amazing as Freddy. I listened to an interview with Terry Gross, in which he says his voice was meshed with Freddie’s voice as “no one can do Freddy Mercury”. I would have liked to have learned a bit more about his life, but the movie, is well worth your while if you are a Queen lover.
My Outfit
These pics were taken earlier, as to catch the golden color of the leaves. The trees are bare at the moment!
Today I am wearing a Banana Republic soft light grey sweater dress I scored on Poshmark for $15, and a new long cardigan from Nordstrom Rack. I have seen the long cardigans so many times on bloggers, I was finally influenced enough to buy one ( or four) I wore my nude fishnets stocking to show off the newer Marc Fisher taupe suede embroidered booties. I loved the block heel and embroidered style.
I wear this tapestry bag quite a bit with outfits adding a vintage vibe and additional texture to a look. I bought it from Zara years ago.
My necklace was inspired by a Chanel necklace of the 1920s, Read about it and other jewelry from Earth and Moon Design here.

Posted at 16:13h, 05 DecemberThat necklace and earrings are so beautiful and a nice pop of color to your grey outfit. Loving those pleats on your sweater dress and layering with a long cardigan is such a great idea! We have our tree up but have not done the ornaments and light yet. I also bought my son a hand print kit to make as an ornament. I am trying to get a tradition going for us. I was going to do the jammies but decided ornaments first!

Posted at 09:34h, 04 DecemberLove the necklace, AND the fishnets! I love fishnet tights myself, but they cause quite the looks in our neck of the woods… I wear them anyway, because LOVE. It’s funny how fur babes always manage to place themselves as inconveniently as possible!

Posted at 09:24h, 04 DecemberI really like tonal looks, Jess. The little pintucks on the front of that dress are so cute.😍We saw Bohemian Rhapsody over the weekend too and it really was good. I wasn’t sure I’d like it, but I really did. I have several cable car ornaments on our tree from SF. I’ve got a question for you. Do you feel like your Instagram follower numbers have gone up with using the Milo Tree pop up? TIA! XOXO
