22 Oct Turning Heads Linkup- Picadilly Sweater Jacket with Pockets
Morning friends
I am sharing the second look today from the wonderful Canadian company, Picadilly. They contacted me to choose several pieces to style and my eye went to several classic pieces that would be workhorses in my Fall-Winter wardrobe. If you missed yesterday’s Picadilly post- Have a read and see how I styled a dolman camel sweater- Picadilly Dolman Sweater Monochromatic Look.
Well, another day, another dry needling session! I am glad it is every 2 weeks, but it does take 2 days out of my schedule. One to go for treatment, and the next day to recuperate. Well, there was fun to be had over the weekend, as we went to brunch with my sister and niece and then went to a Pumpkin farm where we went through a corn maze. I joked as I would need the number to call to be rescued, as my sense of direction is not good! My niece was serious about the corn maze, as we had to uncover clues and figure out the puzzle in addition to getting through the maze. She was power walking through it , and I did keep up , but boy was I sore this morning! We went on a hayride too which was fun.
My Outfit and Picadilly
Picadilly is one of the most successful retail companies in Canada and has been creating women’s fashion for over 40 years. The look that they strive for is ageless and classic. They are Internationally known and offer chic and classic separates for the modern woman. I had collaborated with them a few years ago in this post-Picadilly Review- Wearing a Jumpsuit Two Ways.
I go through phases. There are moods where I want to wear color and be vibrant. Other times, I love a classic neutral look. This week, I have styled more neutral looks that would look great on most skin tones. These pieces, the dolman sweater I wore yesterday, and this taupe sweater jacket are classic pieces that you may wear over and again. I chose this ultra-soft sweater cardigan as I love the look and the coziness factor. It comes in 3 sizes XS/S, M-L, and XL/XXL. It has pockets too! I know you ladies love the pockets!
I knew I would need the XS/S and found that it is still roomy. I love that it is a bit oversized for me, as it is like wrapping yourself up in a luxurious blanket! It has a hook and eye closure in the front, but I chose to leave it open in order to expose the black chiffon dotted shell I was wearing underneath. The jacket is soft and sturdy and made from these materials-48% Viscose 28% Polyester 24% Nylon
With these neutrals – taupe and black, I love the look of grey skinny jeans for a neutral shade over blue denim, and the proportions of the more oversized look with skinny jeans worked well. If you have a top or upper portion that is more voluminous, fuller or oversized, go with a straight or skinny lower half for balance.
The silver pendant necklace c/o Soft Surroundings is worn to draw the eye downward and to create a long lean look. Leopard resin earrings add a touch of pattern. My black croc Dolce Vita boots are already getting a lot of use.

Posted at 13:29h, 22 OctoberI have never heard of this Canadian company and I’m Canadian. LOL I need to remedy that.
Your hair is looking incredible here.
I’m the same way in mazes but my husband is even worse. I always tell him to take the opposite direction of the one he thinks is right because he is never right. Oops. Did I just write that? Ha ha!

Posted at 06:53h, 22 OctoberJess, you wear neutrals so well! What a great jacket. I am sure it will prove to be very versatile in your wardrobe. And these quilted booties are fabulous. Which just reminded me that I have a similar pair that I bought 2 years ago and have never worn! I might need to style those soon! The corn maze sounds fun. My kids love them and we haven’t made it out to any yet this year. I need to get on that, too. But life lately…so crazy!

Posted at 04:34h, 22 OctoberAnother stunning piece! I love this on you – such a classic piece you’ll wear for years. The color is great! It looks terrific with your grey jeans and that pendant. We took my niece to a pumpkin patch too this weekend. We skipped the corn maze (she’s only 3 ) and the hay ride – she rode horses. She loves them and couldn’t get enough. It was so much fun and so cute to see!
