Hello friendsWell, I convinced my mom to be in my "photoshoot" for Soft Surroundings, as she loves the brand, and I had sent her a few pieces for Mother's Day. You saw me last week in my white and mustard yellow vintage inspired Mango dress, and today I am wearing a bright yellow jersey dress from Soft Surroundings. I must have the summer sun on my mind!
It's one of those styles I saw on a number of people that I really loved, but wasn't sure how I would like it on me. I am tall, 5 foot 9, so I wasn't weary of the length. I thought, let's go for it, and get something a bit out of my comfort zone and try something different. So, Poshmark shopping I went, and I found this pair of Wit and Wisdom cropped wide leg jeans for a mere $20 shipped.:-)

I've just got home last night from the trip visiting family and enjoying the Memorial Day holiday. Mom has come back with us, and we will be planning some fun things to do to share our love for Lake Norman and Charlotte. As Summertime approaches, I've been thinking about things to do and make in June.
I have been enjoying wearing whites, neutral shades, olive and more spicy colors this Spring season. I do love the Pantone Color palette for Spring. Check out the Post on Pantone Colors for Spring 2019, if you missed it. Today, however, I am wearing some bright colors as i was in the mood for some hot pink and floral shorts with yellow, navy and pink.
One of my favorite looks is an all white look for Spring and Summer. It may not be practical for some, but I just love how fresh and summery it looks on those hot days. Cool fabrics also help to keep this look fresh.
I wasn't sure about this look when it first became popular. Visions of ladies in suits with large, clunky Reebok sneakers from my teenage days when I worked in downtown Pittsburgh filled my head. Today, though, a "sleeker sneaker" ( you like that?) such as these classic converse, are worn as a casual style with a longer periwinkle dress.
Today my friend, Kellyann, This Blonde Shopping Bag, and I are stying Gingham looks. Gingham is one of those prints that just is so classic, it doesn't go out of style. It really is fun when you can collaborate with another blogger friend and share your inspiration. So go visit her blog too, I 've been very fortunate to get to know her this year.I bought this top from Mango ( yes, most things I am buying are from there) as I loved the fuller sleeves and subdued mustard yellow gingham print, a bit different from the traditional navy blue or red gingham.
Next week, I will be sharing a gingham look, along with my friend, Kellyann, just one of several that I have from my closet for Spring.
