Hello ladies!

Welcome to 2016! I partied hard! It is amazing I am able to type this blog post. No, everyone! ahaha! I am sure you know me a bit by now, to know that I am not a party till the break of dawn-drink champagne until I fall over kind of girl! You all know I have to take meds for my illness, so if I make it up until midnight, it is amazing! Well, I did. We enjoyed a New Years Eve with the pups, drank champagne, ate sushi and watched the ball drop. My girl, Truffles shakes and gets so scared with fireworks, we try and calm her down. She stays awake all night just staring out the window, waiting for the next big boom! We had a good time though. Midnight rolls around, we say, Happy New Year, and I think by 12:03, I am in bed.

I want to share some of the blog goals I have for this year, but have not been one for New Years Resolutions personally, as I think one should reflect or make changes to their health and well being anytime throughout the year. Today I was ready for some cashmere. Is there any time one is not ready to wear cashmere?” I bought this green sweater from Bluefly a few years ago, and wanted to pair it with one of my favorite black tweed skirts today. The tights add pattern, texture and Santa brought me these new black leather booties from Mango. I love the pointed toe and the buckle. I also am a fan of long gloves. These are Isaac Mizrahi leather gloves and they have a pretty scalloped pattern at the bottom. I have a pair of grey long gloves I wear with my pink Boden coat, as I love a bit of glamour!

This year with the blog, I will continue with Turning Heads Tuesday, as I love seeing all of your outfits! It inspires me, and encourages me to spend more ! JK! I will also continue to highlight bloggers in my Spotlight On: Over 40 series. In addition, I want to share How to Shop on a Budget, Splurge vs Save, Ways to Wear A… and other topics and tips. I will be doing more Giveaways this year via Instagram, in wanting to offer some great items to my readers/followers..

    Love all the textures here but also the subtle variations of green from the bag to the jewellery to the cardigan and that necklace is so unusual.

    I love this look…the softness of the ruffles on your cashmere cardigan with your textured skirt and patterned tights is a winner for me! Especially as you contrasted the femininity with your ankle boots.
