One staple I am happy to wear this summer is the denim short. There are plenty of lengths available, from these 4 inch denim rolled shorts, to a longer style closer to the knee. It's all about personal comfort. I bought these lighter wash jean shorts from Loft, when mom cam to visit and we did a bit of shopping.
Wouldn't it be strange to see outfits without the accessories? Kind of bland huh? When the heat is on, you don't have to wear alot of jewelry, but keep in mind the accessories that can make a look. In this outfit, it is my new brown belt. Where did I buy it, you say? Mango, of course!

You saw me last week in my white and mustard yellow vintage inspired Mango dress, and today I am wearing a bright yellow jersey dress from Soft Surroundings. I must have the summer sun on my mind!
It's one of those styles I saw on a number of people that I really loved, but wasn't sure how I would like it on me. I am tall, 5 foot 9, so I wasn't weary of the length. I thought, let's go for it, and get something a bit out of my comfort zone and try something different. I have been enjoying wearing whites, neutral shades, olive and more spicy colors this Spring season. I do love the Pantone Color palette for Spring. Today, however, I am wearing some bright colors as i was in the mood for some hot pink and floral shorts with yellow, navy and pink.
One of my favorite looks is an all white look for Spring and Summer. It may not be practical for some, but I just love how fresh and summery it looks on those hot days. Cool fabrics also help to keep this look fresh.
I wasn't sure about this look when it first became popular. Visions of ladies in suits with large, clunky Reebok sneakers from my teenage days when I worked in downtown Pittsburgh filled my head. Today, though, a "sleeker sneaker" ( you like that?) such as these classic converse, are worn as a casual style with a longer periwinkle dress.
