25 Feb Cognac Leather
My cafe colored sweater dress was begging to be worn, and so I decided to pair it with different shades of brown. This cashmere sweater dress is so soft and yet it needs something to add to its taupe-ish color. This relatively new leather jacket, by Andrew Marc seemed to add more intensity to the color scheme, as did the boots.I have always been a fan of Andrew Marc’s leather jackets, and I just loved this color. Bluefly.com has some great leather jackets, when you are looking for one I have a combination of gold and silver jewelry, but these must of sparkled when I walked through the door of the boutique, as I went straight for them. My boots are Born, and they are one of my favorite pairs of boots for style and comfort, both Born and Sofft are two of my favorite brands. I then went for some Malbec at our local wine bar, where jazz standards were playing and my inner jitterbug wanted to get up and dance. Having EDS doesn’t really permit that, but those standards never go out of style, as I hope much of my clothing does not as well. Have a lovely day!!

Posted at 17:49h, 26 FebruaryJess, you look absolutely gorgeous!! Love how the tights pick up the brown in your handbag. Lovely outfit.

Posted at 18:50h, 26 FebruaryThanks Stephanae, I love patterned tights, if I can find ones long enough! I have a fashion trick for all you ladies with long legs. I find that even when i buy long tights they don’t always end up that way. If you know you are going to wear them with boots, and boots only, cut off the feet, pull up the tights as high as you need them, and wear socks in the boots. Trust me it works! Again, thanks for the kind words 🙂

Posted at 15:52h, 26 FebruaryJess I’m not sure what I love more… the boots, the tights, the gloves or your dress! You’re spoilt for choice with tan accessories as they all look beautiful with your hair. The boots are truly amazing – so stylish for flats, love the detailing 🙂
Plus your amazing resilience & positive attitude is so inspiring. Thank you for the lovely e-card – what a nice surprise that was! I’m more than happy to help – I would have loved to have had a ‘mentor’ when I started so it’s the least I can do for someone else. I’m so glad the blog is coming together for you, well done!

Posted at 16:16h, 26 FebruaryThank you Catherine. Yes , your help has been great. Thank you on the outfit everything I post is comfortable, and I loved this sweater dress, I like cowl necks. The earrings were bought at a boutique at this place we go to unwind, so I went in there, and I think the light just shown off of the gold! What is finally encouraging is that I can wear nice looking boots now, and Born has some great styles. Jess xo

Posted at 08:51h, 26 FebruaryThank you Victoria! I like to wear comfortable yet stylish clothes, sometimes incorporating some trend, and vintage style. I mentioned this in my blog, where I think the ladies and gents of the earlier years, 20s,30s, had some real style. The boots are by one of my favorite companies, Born, as they make cushioned shoes and boots with style 🙂

Posted at 08:55h, 26 FebruaryThank you. I try and take care of my skin with moisturizers, masks a couple times a week, and then I think it is the genes. Thank you for your comment, have a good day!

Posted at 17:28h, 25 FebruaryThank you Annette, I appreciate the comment 🙂 I love sweater dresses as you will and have seen, and noticed there was a bit of brown, but yes, I loved this jacket and thought that it added some color. I next time, might add some more in a different colored bag, like a plum, purple, or other pop of color. I suppose I got lucky with my hair, as you should have seen me in the 80’s! Having an ok week, thanks for asking 🙂

Posted at 17:27h, 25 FebruaryI like how your hair brings out the red in the jacket. It is one of my favorites. You look amazing as always.

Posted at 17:31h, 25 FebruaryAwww. That is so nice of you Roy! Thank you. I see this color jacket on other people and always wanted a coat this color. I like Andrew Marc, as well.

Posted at 17:14h, 25 FebruaryThe neutral colour of your dress can be challenging for some women but certainly not for you, Jess. Your structured tights, the leather jacket and last but not least your beautiful hair are the perfect accessories… if hair can be called an accessory 😉
Hope you are ok so far,
