Last night was a night where we tried a new wine bar, and I was finally able to wear my Magaschoni cashmere emerald sweater out! I purchased it last year at Bluefly, a favorite on-line shop, as the green emerald was calling out to me.( I am starting to notice a favorite phrase!)  I was told, by many people I encounter that all red heads should own green in their closet. I do think it compliments the hair and skin tone, but not every shade of green works. More brown-greens for instance, I feel, look ruddy. I am not a neon girl, even when the fashion fad was in, nor do I find chartruese, a lime-green to be very skin tone friendly. So, while I agree that red heads may want to consider green in their wardrobe, make sure you know what suits you and your complexion. I paired it with an inexpensive scroll pencil skirt I found at Target, boots that are comfy, and my leather jacket with a wide lapel I got for a steal two years ago. My handbag is a favorite, from Rebecca Minkoff, as it is showing some wear, but I love the quilting as I find it classic, as did Chanel, but this at a lower price point. Maybe one day… My hair is also very curly and full in these pics, had them in the hot rollers longer.

We went to a new French wine bar, which was lovely. I am always checking out the seating, as with EDS, I need padding and comfort, so we ease back and make ourselves at home, in one of their leather black couches, sipping a new french wine that was very fruity, dry and delicious, paired with some gouda and brie, crackers, and pretzels, it was a treat. The wallpaper looks like scroll work from what I imagine a french bordello would look like, but since I have no experience with french interior design,or bordellos, I can not say for sure. It certainly fit the character of the place.

Outfit:

Emerald Cashmere Sweater: Magaschoni ( Bluefly.com, simillar,) Skirt Target( this season), Keen boots ( High Bern boots), necklace and earrings( 1928.com), Leather Jacket ( Bluefly.com), Handbag( Rebecca Minkoff)

Thanks Sian! Hope your weekend is well. I try. I can’t be edgy with cool stilletos but sometimes those details in a purse, or jacket can do the trick.

Erica, I appreciate the compliment. I need a bigger closet! I would love to get another Mogaschino cashmere sweater, and the best time to shop is out of season. Didn’t do that when I bought this, but I have learned. A color I would like in this is purple. I do love emerald though!

That’s another fabulous jewel colour, Jess, you look awesome. The wrap top and pencil skirt create a stunning silhouette – I love everything wrapped anyway.
So elegant with your leather gloves and the jacket and boots add a bit of an edgy touch. Great!

    Hugs,

Thank you Annette! I thought of you when I pulled it out of my closet. It is warming up here soon, so probably sweater time will not be much longer. I too, like wrapped tops, thank you, and you know how EDGY I can be! 🙂

Beautiful! The green with your beautiful red hair is very striking! I also love it with the black printed skirt.

Thank you! I think with green with cashmere, who could go wrong? Thank you in regards to my hair as well. The skirt was a steal at Target, but I felt I could match it with many things in my closet.

Thank you! I try to give examples from time to time where I am pairing more expensive pieces ( the cashmere sweater) and the less expensive ( the skirt, Target), but I love emerald and this was only my second cashmere sweater, so the color was a no brainer for me. Thanks again. I will visit your site as well .
