Holiday Green

IMG_5803

Hello Ladies

How is everyone holding up? Are you one  to not let the holiday “madness” get a hold of you? I went into Charming Charlie today and felt the need to leave immediately! No, it wasn’t that I came across a necklace with more colors than the rainbow, but rather, so many people, clusters of teenagers and ladies who looked hungry to find that “perfect ” thing for the aunt, sister, themselves, mother etc.

I think this is why I try and shop early, online and get it done in a reasonable time. Granted, not everyone lets the crowds bother them, but I find that I can’t stand that long to begin with, and second, I don’t like the hurried feeling I get this time of year. So, instead we took the dogs to “Barkdale” in their santa suits and they had a fun time, in a little heated room while we ate pizza and had some delicious Malbec. I hope you have enjoyed the Holiday looks I showed including the red outfit I wore HERE

This is another one of my favorite green colors, kind of a pea green I am wearing this for the holidays with the green and faux leather skirt, and  added some sparkle with this green necklace. If I wanted to create an even dressier look, I would put my hair up with a jewelled accessory. Hope you like this look. It also would be a great idea to wear out to lunch with the girls, family during the holidays as well. I wanted to share this new faux leather pencil skirt I picked up as a Black Friday sale from #Anntaylor. It is faux leather, but really is a solid piece that feels like real leather. Speaking of real leather, I received this jacket by Andrew Marc about 3 Christmases ago and love that I can zip it all the way up and not show the collar, or wear the collar as shown.

Later, At Barkdale, we had the puppies in their Santa suits, and let me say, they just got a few stares and just a few ( hundred) smiles 🙂 I love dressing them up for the Holidays. Then as we were walking, we ran into Chanel!! Gibson was infatuated right away! She looked like a giant snowball! She was a bison freese and a pretty pup, with that name would you espect anything else? Well, maybe I am the only one thinking this, but she was in a baby carriage. Mind you , this wasn’t the first pup we have seen strolled around in a baby carriaige So I told my neighbor, who has a 150lb Whimarinner and said I would give her $50 if she could find a stroller big enough to roll him around in!

Anyhow, I hope you have enjoyed my week of Holiday outfits. One of the lace skirt and cream sweater to be worn to Christmas events, New Years Eve party, etc, the Brocade dress to be worn to a company Holiday Party or Christmas services etc and this as I would wear it out for lunch with friends, etc.

If you have pets, do you dress them up fashionably for the Holidays? Have you seen anything out of the ordinary this season?

Have a wonderful weekend

Jess xo

Hi Jessica, I saw your name with a comment on Dan’s blog The Pretty Cute. Your last name got me curious, as it is such a Dutch name. So I looked you up. You have some lovely outfits. This one is very much my taste (we all have different tastes, bodies etc, don’t we?). Beautiful colour green, especially with your hair. Ahh.. the hair, it takes my breath away. So beautiful, it doesn’t matter what you wear. Glad you wear it long.
The skirt is a good find and the jacket is a gem.

Thank you so much for stopping by! You are too kind, I appreciate all of the lovely comments. People her pronounce my name ( JA-Nen-ga: hard J, instead of Y),
I do love green my style is mostly a classic look with a vintage vibe or influence. I love to find unique pieces when I can. THank you again too about my hair. I hope you follow me, I will check out your site and do the same :-)) I will probably have long hair forever. 🙂

You look stunning in that green color; it complements your hair beautifully. I’d dress up our dogs but I don’t think they’d tolerate it for long. 🙂

I am glad you like your new skirt. It looks perfect with that stunning jacket and fun tights. I have not been to any stores these past couple days just to avoid the madness. Unfortunately, last minute shopping brings out the worst in people.

    Have a Merry Christmas Jess!

Love your faux leather skirt! They are making such quality faux leather now and I would be happy to find one like this. I have a faux suede skirt which is washable and so much more comfortable than real suede and leather.

Merry Christmas my dear Jess and a healthy, happy New Year!!
