22 Dec Holiday Green
How is everyone holding up? Are you one to not let the holiday “madness” get a hold of you? I went into Charming Charlie today and felt the need to leave immediately! No, it wasn’t that I came across a necklace with more colors than the rainbow, but rather, so many people, clusters of teenagers and ladies who looked hungry to find that “perfect ” thing for the aunt, sister, themselves, mother etc.
I think this is why I try and shop early, online and get it done in a reasonable time. Granted, not everyone lets the crowds bother them, but I find that I can’t stand that long to begin with, and second, I don’t like the hurried feeling I get this time of year. So, instead we took the dogs to “Barkdale” in their santa suits and they had a fun time, in a little heated room while we ate pizza and had some delicious Malbec. I hope you have enjoyed the Holiday looks I showed including the red outfit I wore HERE
This is another one of my favorite green colors, kind of a pea green I am wearing this for the holidays with the green and faux leather skirt, and added some sparkle with this green necklace. If I wanted to create an even dressier look, I would put my hair up with a jewelled accessory. Hope you like this look. It also would be a great idea to wear out to lunch with the girls, family during the holidays as well. I wanted to share this new faux leather pencil skirt I picked up as a Black Friday sale from #Anntaylor. It is faux leather, but really is a solid piece that feels like real leather. Speaking of real leather, I received this jacket by Andrew Marc about 3 Christmases ago and love that I can zip it all the way up and not show the collar, or wear the collar as shown.
Later, At Barkdale, we had the puppies in their Santa suits, and let me say, they just got a few stares and just a few ( hundred) smiles 🙂 I love dressing them up for the Holidays. Then as we were walking, we ran into Chanel!! Gibson was infatuated right away! She looked like a giant snowball! She was a bison freese and a pretty pup, with that name would you espect anything else? Well, maybe I am the only one thinking this, but she was in a baby carriage. Mind you , this wasn’t the first pup we have seen strolled around in a baby carriaige So I told my neighbor, who has a 150lb Whimarinner and said I would give her $50 if she could find a stroller big enough to roll him around in!
Anyhow, I hope you have enjoyed my week of Holiday outfits. One of the lace skirt and cream sweater to be worn to Christmas events, New Years Eve party, etc, the Brocade dress to be worn to a company Holiday Party or Christmas services etc and this as I would wear it out for lunch with friends, etc.
If you have pets, do you dress them up fashionably for the Holidays? Have you seen anything out of the ordinary this season?
Have a wonderful weekend
