28 Oct Katharine Hepburn Style- Wide Leg Trousers

It’s been quite busy at our household, but I wanted to share with you one of my favorite ways to style. It’s a vibe. The classic masculine/feminine style that you know I love in the spirit of Katharine Hepburn.

Kathryn Hepburn was known for her love of trousers, high waisted and wide legged.

Masculine/Feminine look

I love a great vest/tie/button down look as well.

But for this look, I have styled this Lysse blush pink ruffled blouse with the ruffles from the neck to the wrist, with these Lysse dark chocolate brown wide leg trouser. The Isodora Ruffled Sleeved Blouse is “Made from wrinkle-resistant Stretch Woven fabric, the Isadora Raglan Ruffle Sleeve Blouse offers an easy fit, 2-way stretch, a rounded shirttail hem, cuffs and rounded collar.” The blouse has a comfortable stretch to it, so no stiffness here! 

I chose a pointed toe boot to continue the leg line, but a cute pair of brogues would also add to the style. Since we are styling chocolate brown again, you can read my POST on it, in case you missed it. The Lysse Darcy Wide Leg pant is also wrinkle resistant and has a 32 inch inseam. The pants have some stretch as well, and provides a very elegant look as well.

The soft color and flowy nature of the top is quite elegant and feminine and adds that touch to these flowy chocolate brown pant. With an elastic waist, the crepe type material hangs with a lovely drape. I also love that the wide leg is roomy, the waist is high ( to accentuate) and the inseam long enough.

Another way to add to this style would be to add a vest. Plaid is also in for Fall, so a varying shade of brown, would also add to the look.

I added the LV speedy for another menswear vibe with it’s checked design. The pointed toe boots are Naturalizer and I bought them last year.

I’d say it’s “giving” Katarine Hepburn vibes, wouldn’t you?
