19 Feb Quilted faux leather
As soon as I saw this skirt in one of Ann Taylor’s catalogues, I knew it was mine! I love the quilting, slightly a-line structure of the skirt, and who can’t use another black skirt in their wardrobe?. I have had some compliments of this particular color of olive green top with my copper hair, so decided to pair it with the skirt. Of course, I need to be be-jeweled. The Jewel Box is a local Lake Norman haunt of mine, where I am on a first name basis, because their jewelry is both trendy, pretty, and inexpensive. I saw this olive and gold necklace in the window there and it made a lovely match with the top I was wearing. I also needed to vary my posing, and of course, the Angelina Jolie pose came to mind, although there was no red carpet, but rather a cold concrete sidewalk
I do have a pair of quilted black pumps that would look outstanding with this, however, they are in shoe purgatory, as I ponder if I will ever be able to wear heels again. Somehow, I can’t let them go, so they become more of a like an old friend that just hangs around, but doesn’t know where she exactly belongs. So instead, I go for my super comfortable and favorite pair of ballerina flats, which have enough support and cushion, with just enough style with the little buckle on top, to satisfy me. .I promise you, you will see a bit more variety in the shoes, as I am trying to venture out into the kitten heel arena again, but I found myself in love with ballerinas ๐

Posted at 03:56h, 12 MarchHey! I really love your style! I love the faux leather skirt – i think it’s unique and different in some way. I think your outfit would look cool with amber jewelry as they would fit with your green blouse and dark bottoms. Anyways, you look great like that as well!

Posted at 10:32h, 19 FebruaryThanks Matt. Haha. on the red comment. Yes I do have a few red, burgundy items for fall, but much fewer for spring. More colors to come. Thank you regarding the jewelry. My armoire is pretty full ๐ I do love unique and different pieces, as well as vintage. Be happy to look at the Smithsonian.

Posted at 10:34h, 19 FebruaryTHank you Pam. I knew I wanted that skirt as soon as my Ann Taylor catalog came out, they put me on the list as soon as it came in. Also, regarding the green, this too is my favorite shade of green, people say I should own more of this shade because of my red hair. Happy Wed to you too !
