Sunshine yellow and a new neighborhood haunt

IMG_2470 IMG_2467 IMG_2469 IMG_2463   IMG_2477   IMG_2475   IMG_1156 (Custom)   IMG_2485 IMG_2484   IMG_2476 Hello everyone! I think everyone knows at this point I like wine. I used to get the gallon Franzia in a box in college. Then it was zinefindel which I do like, but have gone to a couple of tastings to know what i like.  Who doesn’t enjoy a crisp, cold glass of pinot grigio in the spring/summer months? My husband and I went to this new Tapas ad Wine Bar called Bacchus Tapas and Wine, here in our neighborhood. It was nice to sit outside, very sunny and hot, as we were the only ones outside, but then again it was 1:30 in the afternoon, 90, but honestly , there was a breeze. I do enjoy being outside, but there is one thing about Charlotte, that usually happens every year, we have a short spring, or it goes directly from winter to summer. This is a hot spell. It will go back to the mid 70s, then maybe again up from there. It can be tough to “dress elegantly” when it is in the mid to high 90s which when we have had hot spells in the  summer, get that hot. Basically, you certainly can if you know you are going to be in air conditioning, but I like to sit outside, view the scenery, and wear my sunscreen. So, we had a good bottle of white Pinot Grigio, I had a delicious summer green salad with focacia croutons, tomatoes, onions, pine nuts, and I added grilled chicken. Just enough when it was that hot out. Hubby had a side salad, which was similar to mine, but added blue cheese chunks, and then he had a sandwich, a toasted turkey, smoked mozzerella, tomato, on foccicia bread. We then walked around, as it will be a big complex with an ampitheatre for music, shops, restaurants, wine bar, and music. Overall, a nice day.

Have a great day! Jess

That almost neon yellow is exceptionally flattering for your skin tone and hair color. You look radiant. And I agree, it’s hard to be elegant in extremely hot weather…story of my life. :\

    Jess,
I love this yellow skirt. I have been looking for a yellow one myself and this one has beautiful detail. These sandals are also great – like them with the skirt and the dress.

You look amazing, Jess! I love the yellow skirt! I think I’ve mentioned this to you before so forgive me if I’m being repetitive, but the color yellow just exudes happiness to me. Throw in an ice cold glass of wine with some balmy temps and that happiness turns into pure bliss 🙂

Hi Mary! Thanks so much for your lovely and kind words. I know what you mean about yellow. I feel the same. I also agree about the wine. I am a red wine drinker, but love some Pinot Grigio nice and chilled in the summer. The problem with white is that it is so cold and refreshing, I drink it faster, sip it, than red. :-)) I am looking forward to some “happiness” tomorrow! You too

      Hi Monika!
Thanks for popping in. I appreciate the lovely comments. When I first tried on the yellow skirt, I did not buy it as I thought it was too bright. Later, I went back and thought, get out of your comfort zone and it is a pretty yellow. Great taste in bags! I do love this Damier LV, holds alot and is a classic. Have a great week.

Hi ! Thank you for stopping by and your lovely comments. We are both red wine drinkers. I love Spanish wines: tempranillo, Malbec, Granache. I began with drinking Pinot Noir, which I still enjoy. We do, as you see here, drink white wines occasionally, but mostly in the summer when it is very hot. Have a great week.
