Mother’s Day Gift Ideas- Uno Alla Volta
Hello friendsI hope everyone had a Blessed Easter. We also celebrated my girl's Truffles Birthday, as she was 8 on Saturday. She still acts like a puppy! Saturday we went to a new vineyard for us, Magdelina Vineyards. I am sure by now you know I like to try different wine and vineyards here in the NC region, and I hope to bring you some posts on our visits. Let's move on and talk about Mother's Day!
Hello friendsGlad to be back but had an amazing time visiting my brother and sis in law in DC. This was long overdue, as I hadn't seen their condo and wanted to visit the area. We initially went to see and take pictures of the blooming Sakura trees (cherry blossoms) but they had a freeze and snow prior to, causing them to freeze and not bloom. Not one cherry tree! My brother said "we made history" and that this has not happened before. Nevertheless, we had a great time visiting the monuments, and I found the WWII Memorial particuarly impressive. We did have lunch at the Willard, and I had a "Blossom Martini" if that counts, in one of the oldest hotel in the area. The woodwork and round bar had a nostalgic feeling to it. The bar was the Round Robin.
Hello Friends!I hope everyone had a great weekend. I love the Spring season, but I am hoping it will last this year, as some years here in Charlotte, Spring flies by and melds into summer.. Hi Friends!Happy Valentine's Day! I do have to say, we don't usually make a big deal out of it, but we did enjoy an event at near-by Raylan Vineyards this weekend. Wine, truffles, food were all a part of the festivities and you don't need to ask me twice if I want to go! We took the puppies after their grooming day, in their red bandanas, and I was so excited to be out with them sitting outside! One step closer to nicer weather, perhaps. I am hoping to do some Vineyard reviews and posts on the blog this year, as I have mentioned in the past, we have 90+ vineyards in the NC area, plenty around us and we enjoy bopping around.
This Vintage tweed blazer was purchased on Poshmark for $40Hello FriendsAre you the type that likes to shop on-line or do you prefer seeing and trying on the clothing at the Mall? I truly do 98% of my shopping on-line as I find the comfort of my couch relaxing with a cup of coffee while in my robe very comfortable and so much more fun! I also find that the inventory can be much greater when shopping on-line. I should say off the bat, Poshmark is currently only in the US. There is also the App you can download for convenience on your phone.
Hello Friends,How was your weekend? Ours was pretty low key, just doing some things around the house, hanging my dad's photography and trying to keep up with and get a jump on "spring cleaning"! Sundays I go to the gym and I having just got the "go ahead" to lift weights, seems that I went a bit too "gung ho" the last few times. I truly don't notice it at the time.. but 2 days later my shoulders are telling me to "cut it out!" Well, I live and learn.
