img_0134Hello Ladies,A bit over a month and it will be Christmas! This time of year always goes by quickly as we plan for the all of the festivities, parties, getting together with family and shopping for Holiday gifts. I do most of my shopping on-line, however for some gifts, I love to shop at some stores nearby for gifts. Today, I am going to talk about what to wear holiday shopping when you are on the go, looking for gifts, trying on some festive wear for yourself, and taking a bit of a break in between while sipping some Gingerbread latte. I like to look put together when I am out, but also must be comfortable, if I am walking around shopping. Rockport, is a company I can count on for comfortable AND stylish shoes/boots. I don't have to sacrifice style for comfort, as this boot has both!

img_9834Hello friends!Hope you had a great weekend. It was a busy one, as I voted early, went to the Opthamologist and got a new script for my glasses,  and enjoyed Verde, a Mexican restaurant that is only 10 minutes from us.  We still are loving the "taste of New Mexico" so I tried the least spiciest dish on the menu, and had a very good Agave Nectar Margarita!  Sunday we went and saw " Dr Strange" with one of my favorite's Benedict Cumberbatch! woo-wee! It was great!Today I am wearing one of my favorite colors for fall ( perhaps I say this a lot) olive green. I decided to take this sweater dress( again, an easy dress to wear in the fall) and layer it with this menswear brown plaid vest. I have shared some looks with this vest or similar, over the year in the spring ( worn with jeans), last fall ( with a mini skirt and menswear booties) and now, with this look that has a bit of feminine and masculine in it.

img_9882Hello friends!I am planning on posting Part II of my trip on Thursday this week, so please do come by and check out more of my trip to Santa Fe and Taos, more pictures! ( not to mention it also being My Refined Linkup as well)Hope you enjoyed the weekend. We went to a Hallo-wine Festival Saturday, wine tasting, food trucks, music, kid's events etc. Brought the puppies and it was a good time.I  hope you enjoy Halloween tonight, if you celebrate it. Hubby, me and the pups have decided  to sit outside and pass out candy. I was joking with hubby when I told him,  " Now, we only give out candy to the kids with the homemade costumes, ok" None of that, " Draw-a-smile-on-a-white-sheet "Im a Ghost" -kind of costume!" Kidding. I do remember though, back in the day, when my mom made our costumes. I was a rabbit , a black cat, a monk ( and won first prize as a contest) yes, Mom sewed me a brown gown with hood, I had a white beard, and wore a rope belt, as I chanted Gregorian Chant while in a circle with the other kids. I also remember First Grade when mom used ribbed cardboard around my body, I had a black bodysuit, and used my Disney cap as the make-shift trash can lid stuck to my cap( beanie). Dad has spray painted trashcan on the body of my costume, and then I remember stapling or gluing paper cartons of milk, candy wrappers and more to my "can". It was a pretty cool costume now that I remember it.

img_8948img_8949Hello ladies!Hard to believe September is coming to a close. However, here in NC it generally means a bit cooler temps in Oct to look forward to.  How was your weekend? Today I was in the mood to style one of my Karina dresses for Fall and I chose this orange-red-olive-coblalt-yellow Paisley wrap dress as my foundation. Paisley, not floral :-) The bright colors culminating in a beautiful print really caught my eye and I would be styling this throughout the fall with boots, booties and layers. I did try a jersey brown long sleeve top under the dress, but it ended up a bit bulky, and I decided to go for a jacket instead. Wrap dresses, I find are flattering on every figure, and I do love the ease of it.. a pin is necessary on the lower half., especially during windy fall days! I love a military look and i am looking for a pair of olive booties! ...

IMG_8431Hello LadiesI don't know about you, but I love to iron. Give me a big stack of clothes and let me do my thing! I'm kidding, Im kidding! I am sure there might be a few ladies that do enjoy it, perhaps it is relaxing for some, like taking a bubble bath. However. I like to decide what I am wearing, get dressed and go! I like to feel like I have getting ready down to a bit of a science. So, when Foxcroft NY, contacted me about collaborating , I knew after seeing the Taylor Non-Iron Shirt Dress, that would be my choice, and what women could use in their closet. As through my experience, most busy women want less hassle when getting ready in the morning. So comfortable, the shirt dress is one of my favorites for easy dressing!IMG_8436In addition to the appeal of this iron-free shirt dress, was the color (Serenity)as one of the Pantone's Colors of the Year. I initially chose the pink version, however it was not available until October. No worries, as  I decided then, to combine the colors of the year (  Rose Quartz:) and ( Serentiy) for this put together look. I took out my pink rose scarf, added my vintage pale pink circular vintage brooch and also added pink champagne tones with my Rockport pretty floral pointed flats.  I wanted to combine the best of both worlds! For added texture, my  faux crocidile Brahmin Bag would do the trick. . Yes, I would be happy with blue, as my recent  linen dress purchase  is long, and a darker shade, so there was enough of a difference to "say yes to the dress!" I needed to add more blue into my wardrobe, so this would be a great piece.

IMG_8316Hello ladiesWho doesn't love to sleep in on some lazy Sundays? Whether its with the girlfriends or your significant other, going to brunch, for me, is always a fun way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon! Mmmm. Visions of strawberry pancakes and mimosas dancing in my head. My husband and I love to try different places here in Charlotte and one of those for brunch is Bonefish Grill. I most often get a peach belinni with my eggs benedict or  a spot o" tea with my strawberry pancakes. So today,  I took out my hot rollers as the heat generally makes my fine hair just fall, but keep them in for 15 minutes and it curls like a charm.. Off to brunch!

mayblogHello everyone,Since it took another 11 hours to come home from our visit, I put this together before we left, imagining I might need a few days to recover. Today I wanted to share with you some of my favorite styles from this past month of May. It is hard to believe it is June. I feel like this year is going by quickly. On to the fashion notes, there are some great trends I love right now: espadrilles, off the shoulder dresses and shirts, all of the new denim styles, ( kick crops and cullotes) I am still searching for.Presently, I am in love with all things white, especially for the warm weather, as impractical as it may be some times. Jumpsuits and jumpers are on trend right now, and I will be sharing some jumper looks ( short jumpers) and dressing up the look. Today I am sharing looks that involve floral, off the shoulder, classic black white and red pairings, and military looks. I do love a romantic feminine style, but this takes on many looks.
