I have always been a careful shopper. I don't typically buy things at retail. My brothers have both been buyers in the fashion world and I realize the mark ups are out of this world! However, at the same time, I realize what is a fair price and i also love to find deals. This is where some bargain shopping comes into play as well as thrifting.
Morning Ladies!Sometimes i think I am an "Old Soul". I am not one to say my era is better for this and this, but I do love older swing and Big Band music. Nothing like the sound of a Big Band Orchestra to get your ready to dance. When hubby and I heard The Glenn Miller Orchestra would be coming to town, we were ready to Stop, Drop and Roll.... to get our tickets!We did however, just order them straightaway on-line. I have always loved jazz, swing, big band, particulary when I went to the School of Music for college. Later hubby and I would take swing dance lessons, which were so fun. One of the first Big Band songs i remember having on a 45 record was "In the Mood." But what was I 'in the mood" to wear?
Good Morning ladiesYou have seen me style a tee shirt dress before in several posts. This one is very comfortable and I love the olive shade. The pencil skirt style is also flattering. As we eventually turn to Fall, this would be a style of dress I could layer and style for cooler weather. Its still summer, however, and when the heat is on, I love wearing strappy sandals and dressing up the look a bit. I will also address how I would style this dress for Fall.

Or do you experience "Ground Hog Day?"Well, if you are familiar with the 1993 Film staring Bill Murray, "Ground Hog Day' , then you may understand. In the film, Bill Murray's character, TV Weatherman, Phil Conners, while covering the annual Punxsawtony Groundhog Day event, is caught in a time loop, repeating the same day over and over again. I can't believe "Ground Hog Day" the movie, turns 25, and there are still many lessons that are applicable today. There have been times, where working as a blogger at home, I wake up and say to my hubby , "Its Groundhog Day" realizing that my routine has not varied in some time. Could you imagine a time where you would be caught in a loop, in time, each day being the same??
Morning friends!It's HOT. H-O-T! This week here in Charlotte is unseasonally hotter than it has been over the summer. Let's put it this way, I may have been smiling as I do for photos, but my body was pouring sweat like an new born infant crying for his mommy! The blaring sun and heat, along with the high humidity, made it challenging as I thought about how my hair was sticking to the back of my head. I think you get it, HOT. I took this orange Zara shift dress out of my closet as I haven't worn it on the blog in awhile and I love the bright colors- the orange reminding me of the heat eminating from the sun- as well as it being a bright, rich color that I love any time of the year.
