15 Dec The Ghost of Christmas Outfits Past
Happy Friday Ladies!
We know the story by Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol. a favorite Christmas story with a lesson. “It was first published in London in 1843 A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an old miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. After their visits Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, gentler man.Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol at a time when the British were examining and exploring Christmas traditions from the past, such as carols, as well as new customs such as Christmas Trees.” **Credit-Wikipedia. Just as Scrooge is visited by the Ghost of Jacob Marley, you, dear readers will be visited today, by the Fashion ghost of Christmas Past, present.. and will have to formulate, based on these photos and descriptions, what I might wear in Christmas yet to come…..
i thought it would be a fun post to share, with almost 4 years of blogging, some of my Holiday outfits. My hope is that this may give you some inspiration or idea of looks you may want to put together for the Holiday Season. At this time of year, I too think about some of the Holiday traditions i had when I was younger. One of my favorite activities for the season when i was around 10 or so, was to go door to door with my best friend, Mara, and her brother singing Christmas Carols while collecting for Children’s Hospital. My Christmas Ziggy Coffee Jar in hand ( remember the comic strip character Ziggy?) Mara, Adam and I would sing, and ask for donations. We would be quite proud of ourselves and couldn’t wait to go to Downtown Pittsburgh, give the donation on KDKA Radio and sing on the air. Our biggest hit was Rudolph, and we would leave happy and with hot cocoa and “Farkleberry ding-dong” in hand. ( Yes, that is the name of a cranberry cookie). It is a memory I will cherish.

Posted at 16:27h, 18 DecemberIt’s hard to pick a favorite because all of your looks are so classic and timeless. You wore each outfit beautifully. I like to dress up a bit more than my family but it still errs on the side of casual. My family is also small and very casual that during the holidays we almost always dress like a normal day.
