Pantone Color of the Year 2018 with Eternal Collection

Good Morning!

I touched a bit on the Pantone Color of the Year in this post, Karina Dress Plum-Pantone Color of the Year,  but today, am giving you an exact example of how I am wearing Ultra Violet.  Ultra Violet, is a kind of mystical color, a color with a blue-green depth that is described “Historically, there has been a mystical or spiritual quality attached to Ultra Violet. The color is often associated with mindfulness practices, which offer a higher ground to those seeking refuge from today’s over-stimulated world.” Pantone color institute

, I love the color this year, as purple is such a rich color, and jewel tones with red hair works very well. I hope to pair Ultra Violet with many different colors, perhaps unexpected, but today I went a bit crazy with purple shades, and i love it!

Debbie, one of my readers, had asked me to do a post on accessories. Here you are Debbie! I will also be talking about brooches and handbags in the coming months.

Last years Pantone color of the year was Greenery, a bright yellow green that was to be honest, not my favorite, so i would wear small bits of it, in this shoe for example. I love this ultra violet shade, as it is great for all skin tones and will be seen in fashions throughout the year.

By now, you know i LOVE velvet. The soft, rich texture and style adds some luxe to your look and doesn’t have to cost a fortune. I shopped my closet, with the exception of the jewelry for this look and this violet velvet blazer was a Kohl’s purchase from years ago. The nipped in waist and color sold it for me. If you want to read more about my love for velvet, see these posts  Here Here . HERE

If you still can’t get enough velvet, you can search for it using my search section at the upper right corner.

The highlight of my outfit is the bold statement jewelry that I was gifted by Eternal collection.

I was contacted by Eternal Collection, a jewelry and accessory brand out of the UK, with such stand out pieces, statement necklaces, and beautiful jewels. I was gifted this necklace and earrings, a set I chose as I wanted to add this color to my  jewelry wardrobe, and I loved the bold leaves of varying purple shades lined with silver. The necklace, the Santorini Purple Enamel Necklace and matching Santorini earrings , is also available in varying blue tones. I should also say that the packaging these pieces arrived in was beautiful! A Tiffany blue box lined with delicate white tissue paper made a lovely presentation.

This company, out of the UK, does ship Internationally, and their prices are very reasonable. They have a wide selection from pieces that were sourced from around the world. They have gorgeous Swavorski crystal jewelry. I love these and these. Here are their offerings from their website:

  • stunning enamel, crystal, pearl and diamante clip-on earrings and pierced earrings
  • head-turning Swarovski earrings for daytime and evening
  • costume bracelets, bangles and one of the best ranges of brooches
  • scarf rings and silk scarves to provide the finishing touch
  • gorgeous Swarovski crystal necklaces and the perfect pearl necklace
  • striking Murano glass pendants and necklaces
  • an extensive range of Murano glass earrings
  • semi-precious gemstone necklaces and matching earrings
  • gold and silver fashion necklaces
  • adjustable fashion rings

If this is too much purple for you, you could certainly add one component of this look to incorporate Ultra violet. Change out the sweater dress for a pair of dark denim, or just add the statement jewelry to your look. There are lots of ways to add this color to you wardrobe this year if you choose.

How will you wear Pantone’s color of the Year?

Do check out Eternal Collection wonderful statement jewelry. They are having a SALE right now!

Thank you for the comments, I love to hear from you.

I’m so excited about this color for the upcoming seasons! I am adding a little in different shades to my closet and love it. I also won a Gigi New York bag in mulberry that will arrive this week and can’t wait to see it! I’ve never thought that much about this color but am totally on board!

The necklace and earrings are stunning Jess! I have two necklaces from Eternal Collection and I wear them a lot. They’re such timeless, beautiful pieces. I really like Ultraviolet, it’s a much easier colour for me to wear than greenery, which is a bit too on the yellow side of the green spectrum. I love your velvet jacket!

Ooooo what a beautiful color! 😀 Purple has a fairy tale mystique to it and whenever I wear purple I think royalty! I supposed it’s because of it’s richness. Love the necklace and earrings. The design is not overwhelming and the leaf detail screams for Spring! It goes so well with your velvet blazer. It’s a lovely pairing.

Maybe in small doses and while I love purples, this shade is a bit garish for me.
