22 Jan Pantone Color of the Year 2018 with Eternal Collection

I touched a bit on the Pantone Color of the Year in this post, Karina Dress Plum-Pantone Color of the Year,  but today, am giving you an exact example of how I am wearing Ultra Violet.  Ultra Violet, is a kind of mystical color, a color with a blue-green depth that is described “Historically, there has been a mystical or spiritual quality attached to Ultra Violet. The color is often associated with mindfulness practices, which offer a higher ground to those seeking refuge from today’s over-stimulated world.” Pantone color institute

, I love the color this year, as purple is such a rich color, and jewel tones with red hair works very well. I hope to pair Ultra Violet with many different colors, perhaps unexpected, but today I went a bit crazy with purple shades, and i love it!

Last years Pantone color of the year was Greenery, a bright yellow green that was to be honest, not my favorite, so i would wear small bits of it, in this shoe for example. I love this ultra violet shade, as it is great for all skin tones and will be seen in fashions throughout the year.

By now, you know i LOVE velvet. The soft, rich texture and style adds some luxe to your look and doesn’t have to cost a fortune. I shopped my closet, with the exception of the jewelry for this look and this violet velvet blazer was a Kohl’s purchase from years ago. The nipped in waist and color sold it for me. The highlight of my outfit is the bold statement jewelry that I was gifted by Eternal collection.

I was contacted by Eternal Collection, a jewelry and accessory brand out of the UK, with such stand out pieces, statement necklaces, and beautiful jewels. I was gifted this necklace and earrings, a set I chose as I wanted to add this color to my  jewelry wardrobe, and I loved the bold leaves of varying purple shades lined with silver. If this is too much purple for you, you could certainly add one component of this look to incorporate Ultra violet. Change out the sweater dress for a pair of dark denim, or just add the statement jewelry to your look. There are lots of ways to add this color to you wardrobe this year if you choose.
