Happy Friday friends!"It is not by the gray of the hair that one knows the age of the heart." — Edward G. Bulwer-Lytton Well, I hope you didn't think I was going to shock the heck out of you with my hair gone completely grey just yet! As you know, there is much media attention on women going grey at a certain age. I remember when my mom's hair, seeing her one moment with light brown hair, to the next with solid white, was a bit of a shock! It truly didn't take us all long to get used to it and really like the snow white hair on my mom.

IMG_0043IMG_0042Hello Ladies!10 more days  until Christmas! I am like a kid when it comes to Christmas Day, minus the usual getting up at 5 am to see what Santa brought me. No! Since Gibby and Truffles do not know any better, they do not pat me with their paws in the morning,  saying "Mommy, Mommy, SantaPaws came! TIme to wake up!" I put them in their Santa Suits and we make our way downstairs. We make it a leisurely morning, brew the coffee, have the smell of pastries or bagels in the air, and take our time. We do not make it arduous and open one gift, tenderly picking at the paper as if to save it, but we don't exactly tear in to the gifts not knowing what each other was given!! The pups do have their own stockings which resemble a puppies face and they are ready when I put the stockings on the floor to stick their whole head in to find the puppy treats. I do love giving gifts! I need to master the art of wrapping a bit more, but the bar was set high by my mother in law! I have always been excited for Christmas and giving gifts. I love decorating the tree, and over the weekend we went a bit wild, and Michaels going in for two items like gift bags and tape, only to leave with a cartful of garland, ribbon for the tree, ornaments and more.

IMG_9861Hello LadiesWelcome to #turningheads Tuesday!Ha! Got ya! Didn't I? You ladies know me by now. Would I be the one to go gray ? I know many ladies  that look great with gray or white hair, but my long hair and pale complexion just wouldn't cut it! My sister and I reminisced about our next door neighbor, when we were very young, going next door and having her answer the door, only to see a very old woman with stringy, long gray hair. As small kids, she scared us, and we were convinced she was a witch! Now, let me just say that this post today is about me wearing shades of gray. I have seen this as a color that has been quite popular this season, and I always loved various grey tones, with a fondness for charcoal grey.

IMG_5353Hi Ladies,Happy Monday. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend. ( or weekend in general). I got to enjoy some turkey, and some of the traditional Thanksgiving fare with a bottle of Red Guitar, an inexpensive Tempranillo, which is one of my favorites. Today, I am wearing one of my favorite hats, as I love the cloths, the 20s style hat. I have about 3 of them so far, but here in Charlotte, there is a limited time to wear them.

IMG_5117TGIF LadiesI know I am running a little late with my post, but sleep was certainly needed, and I think it was just my lack of and all of the activity that was catching up with me! I just kept thinking of that song, "Grey Skies are Gonna Clear Up" ..put on a happy face. We have had quite a bit of rain and grey skies, but I am referring to just loving the grey trend as it can be combined with many colors, or your classic black.

IMG_4692HAPPY WED!  It finally got cool enough to wear one of my fall outfits! I titled this "Snow Leopard" as it is the combination of the grey and leopard spots, as opposed to the tan and black Leopard that distinguishes it. So at 65-70 degrees, I just said, time to dress for Fall
