Hello friends!Ahhh, there is nothing like that first sunny day, with the warm sun shining and the boats at the marina looking ready to make their way out on the Lake for the day. It was warm, 80 degrees, when we decided to do a photoshoot near The Cottage, and Lake Norman. When we first moved here, it felt like we were living in a resort. I think everyone tends to "take for granted' sometimes where they live, as you get accustomed to it, day to day. But I am a water girl, and i love looking at the pontoon boats and impressive house boats while sitting at Grandma Trudy's house drinking some refreshing Sangria or Cabarnay that day. I went out with the dogs for a walk, and it was sunny for about 5 minutes, and then hubby and i went out for a photoshoot and the 18 mile and hour winds, and cold became the weather of the day. Morning friendsDespite the delay, ( 2 additional days, which I will write about on Friday)I made it back to Charlotte, after the Noreaster and the amazing blogger/JAMBU event I attended in NYC! I had been anticipating this event for a few months, after being invited to the City with 4 other bloggers, ranging from their 20s to 60s. I am utterly exhausted feeling like I was run over by a truck, but wanted to post about my experience. Last time I was in NYC, was a few years ago for Fashion week, and it was a whirlwind trip. This time, I was going to meet other fashion and travel bloggers along with part of the Jambu team. I was a bit nervous, but never have too much of a problem meeting and talking to new people. Good morning Ladies,I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend? Are you getting the house ready for the Holidays? I am looking forward to traveling to visit my in-laws and taking the puppies for the Holidays. It is typically an 11 hour drive, but since that is too tough for me, we make a pit stop at my brother's house overnight, and then only travel 3 hours the second day. That is do-able! We enjoyed an evening at one of our favorite wine bars on Friday, with some smooth and flavorful cherry noted Pinot Nior and some scrumptious sushi we picked up nearby.
