If you were to look at my closet, you would assume I am from the North as the have more fall/winter clothes than I do Spring/Summer. I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA, but have been living in Charlotte for 15 years now. Dressing for this season ( or any other) doesn't have to cost a fortune, even as a Fashion blogger, if you know where to look for deals!

I chose this shawl as I love the classic pattern and neutral shades and knew it would go with both of my winter coats.

I have been doing a bit of binge watching tv on days that I am "down for the count'. and am enjoying 'Stranger Things", "Ray Donovan" although it hasn't been the best season, and "Mindhunter' a great new character-driven show about the people who began the process of interviewing criminals in order to develop the psychological profile for the FBI's BAU.Now, however is the time of year where I begin the hunt for Christmas presents. Hello friends Happy Halloween! Some Halloween decor was the best I could do this year. I have been recuperating from the Asheville trip, so I will look forward to seeing your costumes if you dress up. I had dry needling yesterday and didn't want to really dress up as the human pin cushion . We did have so much fun as kids though, as my mom made all of our costumes. Hello friends,I hope you all had a happy weekend. It is finally getting chilly here in Charlotte, and I love it! I do enjoy the sun, as it has a positive effect on my mood, but there is nothing like the Fall chill in the air for sleeping too. I won't delve into this topic too much, but having or nearing menopause, I am nearly almost always hot, or warm. So, i love being cold at night and getting cozy under the covers. It just makes for better sleep. On a fashion note, I am talking about the trend for Fall-Velvet. I have quite a few velvet pieces in my wardrobe, and this is the styling of one piece and a sample from last year.
( mountain house we stayed in)Morning Ladies,We just got back from Asheville and I am exhausted! We did so much in a week.
