TGIF Ladies! Is everyone stuffed from Thanksgiving? We had such a good time as my sister's family came for Thanksgiving and i made a dish with the smoked turkey, along with corn pudding, cranberries and pumpkin pie to finish. I remember having some traditions we had when my grandpap was alive. As part Ukrainian, Pap would have us eat a tablespoon of Kutya before the meal, as it represented,"Good Luck". My memory was me, holding my nose, and shoveling it in, as to not disappoint my Pap. We would go around the table and say what we were thankful for. I'd love to hear of traditions you do during the holidays as well.I know some people have a tradition of going out and shopping on Black Friday with their mom or friends. I did get up years ago, at the crack of dawn, with my husband, as he wanted a certain computer Best Buy was offering. We did not end up getting the deal, and needless to say, since we were there, we went in the store. I did not like the feeling. Rushing, pushing, chaos and urgency of people around me, as I was bumped into and pushed with not an "excuse me' in sight. To me, nothing is worth this type of behavior, nor does it make me feel the meaning of the holiday. I would much rather, stay in the comfort of my home, casually sitting on the couch, cup of coffee in hand, looking at some Sales online. Today, I am sharing some of those Black Friday sales with you.
Good morning Ladies,I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend? Are you getting the house ready for the Holidays? I am looking forward to traveling to visit my in-laws and taking the puppies for the Holidays. It is typically an 11 hour drive, but since that is too tough for me, we make a pit stop at my brother's house overnight, and then only travel 3 hours the second day. That is do-able! We enjoyed an evening at one of our favorite wine bars on Friday, with some smooth and flavorful cherry noted Pinot Nior and some scrumptious sushi we picked up nearby. Today i am sharing with you another Holiday outfit, as I have wanted to pair blush pink and burgundy for a bit now, and I knew what pieces i was ready to style.
Morning Friends,I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I had my mind set that we could get some of the Christmas decorations up, as my niece would be helping with the Christmas tree. I also bought lighted garland for the banister with cranberries intersperced throughout with a large Christmas bow finishing the look. Yesterday, I styled a look for an office party or get together for the Holidays. I will be sharing more Holiday looks throughout the season.Today, I decided to share my love of texture and color with a look for Fall.
Good morning ladies,i hope everyone had a great weekend. I think we have left overs from Thanksgiving to last us a few weeks. My hubby loves hot turkey sandwiches and the smoked turkey we got was so good! I have done most of my Christmas shopping and do so all on-line. I remember i used to start quite early, and i would end up just buying more, seeing something while you are out that someone would like. It is too tempting. I wanted to share an outfit today that would be lovely to wear for a get together with friends for the Holidays or an office party. I used to teach in the Elementary and Music classrooms, so this outfit would have worked great for our school parties. So even though, I do not have an office job, i was thinking that this would be something that would be special for the Holidays.

Good Morning Ladies!I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are looking forward to the coming Thanksgiving holiday. My hubby and I, along with my sister and niece, went to the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens to get into the spirit of the Holidays. The lighted trees, in red, blue, green, yellow colors around the Gardens, along with a clarinet group, playing Christmas standards started to get me in the mood. Do you go to places such as these and come home with extra vigor and motivation for decorating? Earlier in the day, my hubby and I went to lunch and I wore this look to lunch.
Hello Ladies!It's Thanksgiving week and I always get excited for this time of year. Not because I am a good cook ( hubby's dept) but because I enjoy getting together with my family and beginning to decorate for the Season. My sister and her family will be coming to our house this year. Not to mention, I am a new Aunt! My brother and his wife, just had a baby..Aedan Hunter. So excited for them! He looks like a "Mini-Me' of my brother and tiny! So, with all of these fun Holiday activities that we may be attending, I have been wanting to find some jeans that I love to wear, for more casual looks.
