Turning Heads Linkup -Soft Surroundings Review
Hello friends!Wow, here we are in 2018, and I am glad to be back on the blog, although the rest and getting to celebrate with family was wonderful. I hope you all enjoyed the Holidays and celebrated big! It was so much fun on Christmas day when the pups dug into their stockings! They were so excited. We kept it easy for New Years Eve, as we enjoyed watching the Ball drop and cooking a fancy meal of crab cakes, corn soueffle and other goodies. We toast the New Year with a delicious bottle of vino. Today's post is very apropo to start the New year with and one of my favorite fabric and trends of the year, velvet. I'm thrilled to start of the first collaboration of the New year with the company, Soft Surroundings.
Hello Ladies!Happy New Year! I hope you all had such a wonderful Holiday with your families and enjoyed Christmas day. We spent the Holidays in Harleysville, with my in-laws. The drive was a bit longer.. and we are lucky to have pups that do nothing but sleep and just hang out as we make the long drive. They have more patience than i do when waiting in traffic! We had a lovely time and I enjoy going to their church for Holiday service, as my sister-in law conducts a bell choir, and they are big on music with piano, trumpets, tuba, flutes and guitar. Today I am just sharing the first look of the Year-2018 and will be sharing how to's for styling outfits on the blog, as well as those important midlife topics. Friday, I hope to share some of my goals -both personally and with the blog, as I take stock of the year and what I would love to add/change in my life and on the blog. Excited about what 2018 has to come!
Atten-hut! DId I get your attention? Well, I am dressing in the "military style" today.. :-) If you didn't get a chance to read about the comfortable and stylish shoes from
Good Morning Ladies. One more week. I know, before you know it , it comes and goes. I am looking forward to the break, however I do wish I could be like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, and click my heels together three times to get "home'.... my "home' for Christmas celebrations that is! Friday we drive to my brother's place in Virginia, taking 6 hours to get there. The next day will be just 3, so it's not too bad. Speaking of heels, I want to introduce you to a brand,
Happy Friday Ladies!

Happy Holidays friends! As you can see, it was such a beautiful day outside, when we took these photos! The forecast the night before was 4-6 inches of snow, and knowing Charlotte, that may mean a dusting. When i woke up, it was as I figured, but kind of wet, dark, damp and cold. So, we quickly braved the cold and my Truffle's tail was wagging after i put her sweater on, only to learn she was to go outside and be cold!I thought besides sharing my dressier Holidays looks, that i would give you a view of what we will all wear Christmas Eve. We are going to my in-laws in Harleysville, near Philly. My mother in law has never seen the puppies in their Santa Suits or "Ugly sweaters", so I thought this year was the time. This is the first year the pups have been there for Christmas. So, I bought this sweater last year from H&M, because, you know why! it has a puppy on it!! Gibson and Truffles sweaters I bought at Target, and Hubby had to get the Star Wars one from Amazon. I'll have to get a photo of him while we are away, in his sweater, he was behind the camera!
Morning Ladies!I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Ours was busy with more decorating, and my plan to take pictures of us ( me, my hubby, Gibby and Truffles, all in our "Ugly' sweaters!) So, do stay tuned for that post. The pup's sweaters are more "cute' than ugly, but if you have seen the recent batch at Target for pups, they do live up to the name, woah!Today I have styled one of my favorite style of

I am really looking forward to traveling to Harleysville, PA to visit with my husband's parents, as we hit the road with the puppies.
