Ladies. By now you know I love florals. I usually go for the larger print though, and not the tiny roses that remind me of a Grandma's afghan. ( Not that there's anything wrong with that!) Today we are looking at how the Stylish Monday group of ladies, styled florals. I've been excited to style this new flowy Mango dress, and thought it was time to wear it :-)
Mother Nature? Did you hear me? It is officially Spring, according to our calendar, and I expect some sun! Well, I try. It is slowly creeping its way here, isn't it? Well, for today's sake, our Stylish Monday ladies, including myself, styled what we think of as Spring.
Morning Ladies!Sometimes i think I am an "Old Soul". I am not one to say my era is better for this and this, but I do love older swing and Big Band music. Nothing like the sound of a Big Band Orchestra to get your ready to dance. When hubby and I heard The Glenn Miller Orchestra would be coming to town, we were ready to Stop, Drop and Roll.... to get our tickets!We did however, just order them straightaway on-line. I have always loved jazz, swing, big band, particulary when I went to the School of Music for college. Later hubby and I would take swing dance lessons, which were so fun. One of the first Big Band songs i remember having on a 45 record was "In the Mood." But what was I 'in the mood" to wear?
Good Morning ladies!If you have been following the blog for awhile, you know i am a "floral girl". I have always loved floral prints, as they are romantic and a lovely reminder of Spring. I do tend to choose medium to larger floral prints, not the tiny florals that remind me of grandma's afghan. That's just me. If you looked at my closet, you might think that stems should be intertwined in between clothes racks, as i have a fair amount of floral dresses and tops, ready to be picked to be worn. My mom used to have a pink and purple floral duster that i used to borrow in high school as the bold colors and print really attracted me.
Hello Ladies! I am in Greenville, SC today to view the Solar Eclipse and we are having lunch, some drinks and exploring a bit after the event.. This should be an interesting event, as there are roof-top parties in restaurants nearby and its a once in a lifetime experience. I wrote this post prior and will have some pictures of the afternoon later on the blog.Last Friday I talked about some of the Fall colors from the Pantone Institute, which would be popular for Fall. Some of those colors do extend to the summer months, and I choose them based upon how a certain color looks with my skin tone. When I saw this peachy ( "Copper Tan"-London) floral dress with lavendar and pink florals, green leaves, I thought it would compliment nicely.
Hello friendsGlad to be back but had an amazing time visiting my brother and sis in law in DC. This was long overdue, as I hadn't seen their condo and wanted to visit the area. We initially went to see and take pictures of the blooming Sakura trees (cherry blossoms) but they had a freeze and snow prior to, causing them to freeze and not bloom. Not one cherry tree! My brother said "we made history" and that this has not happened before. Nevertheless, we had a great time visiting the monuments,and I found the WWII Memorial particuarly impressive. We did have lunch at the Willard, and I had a "Blossom Martini" if that counts, in one of the oldest hotel in the area. The woodwork and round bar had a nostalgic feeling to it. The bar was the Round Robin.
Hello FriendsHalleluia! Today is the last day of January, and I am ready to kick this month "to the curb!" Besides the no Vitamin D, gray days and cold temps, lets just say I prefer the upcoming month as a precursor to Spring.
