Morning FriendsIt was one of those  semi-relaxing weekends along with errands and blog work. We visited our favorite wine bar, The Cottage, where the pups are more than welcome - and the "fur"-niture is equally dog friendly. We began going to The Cottage years ago, as it is beside one of our favorite restaurants on the Lake, North Harbour Club. We popped in on a whim one afternoon, looking for a cute place to sit and have just a glass of wine and enjoy the view of the harbour and various boats. The staff is so welcoming, we now tell the pups we are going to Grandma Trudys or to see Aunt Theresa.  What? You don't talk to your dogs? :-)  Regardless, it was a beautiful, cool night, with temps in the 70s and low humidity, and I would wear a very casual striped midi dress I bought from Target about 3 years ago.

IMG_8766scarfHello LadiesToday I have collaborated with the brand, Artteca, which means "gallery" in Latin, a name very aprapo for this artistic and creative company. The company creates "wearable art" by working with artists from around the world to create contemporary pieces that are bold, colorful and made in the USA.  Being a former Music educator, I also loved the fact that Artteca supports and impacts young artists in Art Education.  This is my 4th Look on a Series of Denim Trends. I am  wearing a dressed up pair of dark wash flares, lace blouse with its detailed edges, and as it is a monochromatic look, brought in color with the Artteca silk scarf and shoes. See  DENIM LOOKS: LOOK 1  LOOK 2  LOOK 3. Yesterday's DENIM look showed how I styled a jean jacket over a trend for Fall 16. Click here to view.

IMG_6604IMG_6612Hello Ladies and Matt,Welcome to Turning Heads Tuesday. Matt is my younger brother, and he commented that he wants to comment on my blog but that I ALWAYS begin with, "Hello Ladies", so I decided to include him in my introduction! I better hear from you, Matt!! :-)February is always a time, actually January is when I start to get antsy for Spring. I just am not a fan of cold, and the inability to take my puppies out with us to lunch or a wine bar, or anywhere for that matter. I could complain, but our winter isn't very long here in Charlotte, and the coldest months are January and February. I do like to see sunshine though. It just so happened to be the spot in which we took pictures was sunny.   I just prefer warmer days, and do believe in the "winter blues".

IMG_5084Happy Monday Ladies!I wasn't able to get to all the blogs last week, as we took an excursion with the pups to the Great  Smoky Mountains, about a 3 hour drive and stayed in a place called the McKinley Edwards Inn. It was pet friendly, so we brought the pups. Our main plan to stay there was to enjoy the mountains, but mainly to ride a 1940's rail car called the Great  Smoky Mountain Rail Road. More on that Wed. Today, I will introduce you to the area in which we stayed in Bryson City, NC.
