21 Jan Winter Coat Looks – Choose Color to Brighten Your Winter Days
Morning Ladies!
Our Winters here are pretty mild,( not today) where it can be cold in December- February, or we can have days where it is 60 degrees. Today is bitter! I recently received this Teddy Bear nubby coat for Christmas, and it is just the right weight for this climate. The rust color was love at first sight and something different for Winter. I’ll share with you some of my styles over the years and some of my favorite Winter Coats picks for your closet.
The Weekend
I worked on this post prior to going to the Influencers at Midlife Conference, so I will be posting about that event shortly. It was a great time meeting all of these wonderful ladies at the Midlife Conference. I feel a renewed sense of inspiration, and a desire to write about, once a week, those topics that we midlife ladies find important.
We drove to the conference, as we are only 4 hours away from Alpharetta, GA ( near Atlanta) and it was an easy ride. The Conference was Friday evening through Sunday until noon, but I was having increased pain on Sunday so we left just a bit earlier as I was exhausted when I got home, but quite thrilled to have met my blogger friends and make some new ones It was worth it! I had a great time with the ladies.
We had a professional photographer taking pictures, so as soon as I receive those and write about the event, you will hear about it on the blog! So stay tuned….
Winter Coat-Wearing a Color
I’ve gone on an on last week about wearing color in the Winter, and how important it can be for your mood. Last week, I wrote about Pairing Mustard and Grey, and Tuesday’s post I shared a pink and grey look. I tend to get a bit down in the Winter, so adding color, even in a coat, can be a great pick me up!
Why go for a black or navy coat when you can add color to your Winter Coat wardrobe? I always feel like I need something, ( other than a ray of sunshine) in the colder months, due to the grey days. It was one of the reasons we moved from Pittsburgh, PA, and wanted a warmer climate.
I have a collection of coats, from when I lived in PA and several bought here as well. You can certainly get away with one or two great coats in the Winter months here, but I love my fashion, so I have a few more. I have more moto jackets in my wardrobe, but for the sake of the post, I am sharing my styles for the Winter months.
Styles
Some of the styles you may see are a bit trendy, others will carry you for years, being more classic in nature. I’ve linked up original posts for you to read, and have linked coats that are similar if they are not available.
My Red pea coat from a few years ago. I loved the deep rich red and the high collar -keeps your neck warm! Pea coats are classic!

Posted at 20:00h, 21 JanuaryI love to wear a brightly colored coat or jacket in the winter. Your burnt orange coat is fabulous on you. You also look quite stunning in the burgundy coat as well. I’m so glad that you were able to attend. Please take care of yourself as you re- charge.
My post topic is similar too, btw!

Posted at 08:16h, 21 JanuaryI think it would be so nice to have a collection of colorful coats! I hate looking out and seeing a literal sea of blacks and dark blues – color is so much more interesting. I can’t wait to hear all about your conference, I bet it was so much fun. I am looking forward to your posts on the topics as well. I hope i can go next year!

Posted at 12:22h, 22 JanuaryI know what you mean! I love a classic camel coat, but do prefer color to brighten my mood. It was great to meet everyone and I had such a good time. I am recouperating as it is exhausting for me, but I enjoyed it. I hope you can too! xx
