Hello Ladies!I hope you all kept warm and cozy over the weekend, as it was cold here in North Carolina. I suppose I am a bit of a cold weather "wimp' when it comes to Winter, I am just not that crazy about it. I try and schedule things in January and February that will lift my spirits. My husband was thinking the same thing when he bought tickets to see Chad ,a pianist, at The Jazz Room I look forward to seeing next week. Today, I thought I would share with you a bit of "spring' in the Wintertime, by styling a beautiful light pink tunic/off the shoulder dress from the Joseph Ribkoff Spring 2018 collection.

Hello Friends! We all know this is the time of year that people make New Year's resolutions, resolve to go to the gym, lose weight etc. I am not one for New Year's resolutions, but i do like to reflect on the past year and what I may want to change, add to my life, what seems to be working . I also like to review my thoughts on the Blog, what topics I may want to cover, how to improve, and what I can offer my readers. I have always enjoyed writing, so in addition to meeting so many wonderful people, this is something that I strive to continue. I do get frustrated with social media, as it takes up a fair amount of time. I hope to try and make better use of that time.

Hello friends!Wow, here we are in 2018, and I am glad to be back on the blog, although the rest and getting to celebrate with family was wonderful. I hope you all enjoyed the Holidays and celebrated big! It was so much fun on Christmas day when the pups dug into their stockings! They were so excited.  We kept it easy for New Years Eve, as we enjoyed watching the Ball drop and cooking a fancy meal of crab cakes, corn soueffle and other goodies. We toast the New Year with a delicious bottle of vino. Today's post is very apropo to start the New year with and one of my favorite fabric and trends of the year, velvet.  I'm thrilled to start of the first collaboration of the New year with the company, Soft Surroundings.

Hello Ladies!Happy New Year! I hope you all had such a wonderful Holiday with your families and enjoyed Christmas day. We spent the Holidays in Harleysville, with my in-laws. The drive was a bit longer.. and we are lucky to have pups that do nothing but sleep and just hang out as we make the long drive. They have more patience than i do when waiting in traffic! We had a lovely time and I enjoy going to their church for Holiday service, as my sister-in law conducts a bell choir, and they are big on music with piano, trumpets, tuba, flutes and guitar. Today I am just sharing the first look of the Year-2018 and will be sharing how to's for styling outfits on the blog, as well as those important midlife topics. Friday, I hope to share some of my goals -both personally and with the blog, as I take stock of the year and what I would love to add/change in my life and on the blog. Excited about what 2018 has to come!

Atten-hut! DId I get your attention? Well, I am dressing in the "military style" today.. :-) If you didn't get a chance to read about the comfortable and stylish shoes from  yesterday's post on  Adrian Allen Shoes, do so especially if you are looking for a comfortable shoe for the Holidays! As we get closer to Christmas, I always tend to reflect at the end of the year about things in which I am grateful. I have really enjoyed getting to know people better on the blog, and enjoy the supportive environment it offers. I am looking forward to spending time with family, in Pennsylvania and having the puppies with us this time. I have always been big on Christmas, celebrating, enjoying Holiday food and drinks and giving gifts. You saw a few weeks ago my Post about Joseph Ribkoff, a premier Canadian designer that is sold at 1ereAvenue. I wore an eye catching lace red top and black slacks. Today I am sharing another look with you from Joseph Ribkoff, and the second look I styled from 1ereAvenue.

Good Morning Ladies. One more week. I know, before you know it , it comes and goes. I am looking forward to the break, however I do wish I could be like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, and click my heels together three times to get "home'.... my "home' for Christmas celebrations that is! Friday we drive to my brother's place in Virginia, taking 6 hours to get there. The next day will be just 3, so it's not too bad. Speaking of heels, I want to introduce you to a brand, Adrian  Allen Shoes. Not only are they beautiful, but comfort and style is what differentiates them from others.

Happy Friday Ladies! We know the story by Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol. a favorite Christmas story with a lesson. "It was first published in London in 1843 A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, an old miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas PastPresent, and Yet to Come. After their visits Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, gentler man.Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol at a time when the British were examining and exploring Christmas traditions from the past, such as carols, as well as new customs such as Christmas Trees." **Credit-Wikipedia.   Just as Scrooge is visited by the Ghost of Jacob Marley, you,  dear readers will be visited today, by the Fashion ghost of Christmas Past, present.. and will have to formulate, based on these photos and descriptions, what I might wear in Christmas yet to come.....
