IMG_6754IMG_6769IMG_6782Hello Ladies!Since my 2 year  Blog Anniversary was in February, and I share it with you on the blog last week, I wanted to include flowers then, but things got in the way. For this post, let's just say it was a delayed celebration, and more in accordance with Spring. We could call this a Celebration of the One Year Anniversary of the #TURNINGHEADSTUESDAY #LINKUP!! Where has time gone? Thank you all for making this linkup successful! :-)

Hello Ladies,Are you a stillleto kind of girl? Or do you wear flats? Perhaps you like a kitten heel like me.However, now one can have a happy medium.  A trend I can get behind, or should I say, "on top of". As you know, because of my medical condition, I can not wear a stilleto or a high heel. However, with this trend,  there are some very pretty and comfortable looking shoes with a 1-1.5 inch block heel. Today I am sharing some of my favorite block heels, which, let's face it, is easier to walk in, and makes one's legs...

IMG_6799IMG_6795Hello LadiesWelcome to another #Turningheadstuesday!   I hope everyone had a nice weekendI know it is March and we are getting antsy for Spring. I , however, just found this vintage  tweed jacket and didn't want to wait until next year to share it. So, I promise a spring look for next week. Today I am sharing a few tips on wearing Vintage without looking like you went back in a time machine. I do tell my husband from time to time that I would love to travel back to a different era. Not stay there forever, but just experience the time, clothes, people.music . If you are watching the Stephen King book turned tv show 11/22/16 the character has traveled back in time to try and prevent a historical event from happening, having to know the era, the clothes, cars, and events pertaining to that day.

Hello Ladies!Welcome to My Refined Style Linkup, as we welcome in March! Hard to believe, but I am ready, so ready for spring. I do love sports, but I have never been a snow bunny or enjoyed skiing. When people ask me if I am good at skiing, I say, "No, I am good at falling." So, I will stick to what I know. I am better at dressing for the cold! I did have a coat on in addition to what I am wearing today, but wanted to share with you my love of sweater dresses and one of...

IMG_6678Hello Ladies!I think my brother was "feeling the heat" when I called him out on the blog last week.  He knows he can reply anytime :-) . Today I decided to put together and share with you how much details can make an outfit. You all know I love lace, leather, ruffles, ( faux-fur, tweed  and vintage inspired looks. I love texture and the fall/winter season certainly lends itself to incorporating texture into one's outfit. I wanted to put together a neutral look, but add rich tones like this rust ruffled lace  top by Zara to add spice to this fashion recipe. I first wore this as a sleeveless top at NYFW, I will wear it again as a vest, putting a button down top underneath. I saw this cashmere leopard cardigan as part of the Mad Men collection for Banana Republic and loved the style straightaway!

 1. Hi Deb, I know it can be difficult to pick a name to one's blog, how did you choose the Blog Name: Fashion Fairy Dust? ( My intro may be) As a musician I was sorry to hear about David Bowie's passing. It got me thinking that perhaps the name Fashion Fairy Dust was something he used to put together his outfits.( wink;-))I love that Jess! Fashion Fairy Dust does sound like something David Bowie might have used! I'd been kicking around the idea of starting a blog for quite awhile; I love fashion and friends would often ask my...
