Happy Monday,Hope you all had an enjoyable weekend. First, I am honored to have been interview by Deborah Boland of Fabulous After 40. I would love for you to read it and share if you care to do so. READ MY INTERVIEW HERE.When I was contacted by the company Silver and Post Jewelry, I was happy to respond and collaborate. If you don't know by now, I love jewelry from vintage to handmade, usually unqiue styles that are not mass produced. When I found this green necklace, earrings and ring teardrop style, I thought they had a bit of a...

Hello Ladies!Your wish is my command! I mentioned more blue, and here you have it. I am slowly adding more to my wardrobe to spring, and even recently bought a cobalt blazer to wear then.  I have no certain explanation for why I don't have as much blue in my wardrobe as other colors, I just began with adding more of the rusts, greens, pinks, burgundy families and have a spattering of blue here and there. Samantha mentioned cobalt and I do have a top or two for summer, remembering wearing it and liking how the shade looked. I usually...

IMG_6604IMG_6612Hello Ladies and Matt,Welcome to Turning Heads Tuesday. Matt is my younger brother, and he commented that he wants to comment on my blog but that I ALWAYS begin with, "Hello Ladies", so I decided to include him in my introduction! I better hear from you, Matt!! :-)February is always a time, actually January is when I start to get antsy for Spring. I just am not a fan of cold, and the inability to take my puppies out with us to lunch or a wine bar, or anywhere for that matter. I could complain, but our winter isn't very long here in Charlotte, and the coldest months are January and February. I do like to see sunshine though. It just so happened to be the spot in which we took pictures was sunny.   I just prefer warmer days, and do believe in the "winter blues".

Hello ladies and Matt!( I had to write this as my brother Matt mentioned he would like to comment on my blog, but that I always begin with "Hello Ladies") so I have included my awesome brother in today's introduction. :-)It is close to that time of year, the time of year that Hallmark and other card companies pull out all of the stops with cards large enough to serve as the place mat  one would need if going out for a Valentine's Day dinner. I suppose a small card or gesture doesn't cut it anymore? Well, I love the...

IMG_6526Hello LadiesWelcome to Turning Heads Tuesday. I don't wish to write a lot today, but wanted first to thank you for the support I received while away from the computer. My dad passed suddenly over 2 weeks ago ; so I , along with puppies and spouse in tow, went to Pittsburgh for the hardest time of  my life. My brothers and sister met us at mom's house.I want today just to share with you a few things to "celebrate" my Dad, he was an amazing person and I love him dearly. It is difficult to write. I HAD to dress in Black and GOLD today to wear this for my Dad. He was a Pittsburgh  Steelers Fan all of the way, and neighbors down the street could attest to this, as they would most likely hear him shout at the TV during a Pittsburgh Steelers' Football Games.

IMG_0491Hello LadiesWe meet again for  #turningheadstuesday. I I have been thinking about blog goals and topics and plan on doing some new things this year.  I am looking to have a series called "Pinterest Interest" where I try to emulate a Pinterest look. I know many of you love Pinterest and one could easily spend time perusing the boards for inspiration. I have other ideas in mind, budgeting on $150 a month, and hubby likes to laugh or is it cringe when I say, I am spending my $150 allotment!. Just the word "Allotment" conjures up the idea of money for chores or..very rigid spending.. I know that sounds like very little to some, but it allows me to "shop smart". More on that. You all know I love my handbags and these are investments, or something I spend more on, and they are usually gifts, or I will save for a couple of months. I also am a member of the Purse Forum, and if you are and post, after a certain amount they will verify the authenticity of a bag, as I have bought on Ebay, Poshmark etc.
