I know you might be wondering about the title a bit. Well, my sister in law bought me this really cool looking necklace one Christmas, and it literally looks like strands of DNA. I thought it was so neat, as I do like reading medical info, and did so especially when I was first diagnosed with an illness. The colors intertwined in the necklace is what also makes it quite interesting, as there are purples, blues, greens, mixed and strewn throughout. I love pieces that are original. I have always loved medical shows: Dr G Medical Examiner, Forensic Files, Cold...

Hello Ladies! They say April Showers, bring May flowers, but it seems to shower here more in June. The thing is, that the shower is for an hour in the afternoon, and then it blows over  First, excuse the frizzy hair, the downside of an afternoon shower. Second,. Now, I don't want you to get the wrong impression, when I have these pictures of me going yet to another wine bar, let alone the fact that we are "regulars". My hubby can work remotely as he is the IT business, so at times we go out and enjoy a lunch with...

Hello LadiesIt is that time of year, where we can go and listen to summer concerts. I love sitting on the lawn and just kicking back with a bottle of wine, or other beverages, just enjoying an acousitc guitar player. This is my guitar from many years ago, a Taylor 412, when I went to teach in the South. I had just come out of college, and worked in an area with unfortunate conditions. I had to travel to two different schools, and was put in a trailer when the heat was above 90 and the air conditioners wouldn't work....

I called it the watercolor dress, as the yellow and white flowers with punches of light blue, pale pink and grey mix together like a water painting.  I don't shop at H & M much, as I have to try everything on there, and it isn't as convienent. Now and then I find something there that catches my eye and it was this sundress. I thought, great, I can wear it when it is 90 degrees as is, or when there might be a chill in the air, or going to a restaurant, put a cardigan over it. The pale...

Hello Lovely ladies,Well again it has been a nice sunny day here in Huntersville, NC. Sunny, and about 90 degrees. I don't usually go to the mall, as I think the last time I really liked malls was when I was a teenager. I find myself to be more efficient and comfortable at home, shopping on-line. However, we decided I would try on a skirt at Ann Taylor, and look around a bit, while my husband entered The Drop Off Zone.  This is that area that husbands frequent while their wives shop. There are sections of the mall devoted to...

It was another sunny, hot day, here in the Carolinas. The sunshine just really uplifts my mood, and at one point my mother suggested that I purchase a SAD lamp for the winter. Well, it never gets that bad here in the winter; the dreary, grey days were saved for my previous place I lived, Pittsburgh, PA. There were many more grey days in the winter where one might need such a lamp. I do, however, need to put sunscreen on when we go out, as I am one to sit in the sun a bit more than my husband,...
