img_8948img_8949Hello ladies!Hard to believe September is coming to a close. However, here in NC it generally means a bit cooler temps in Oct to look forward to.  How was your weekend? Today I was in the mood to style one of my Karina dresses for Fall and I chose this orange-red-olive-coblalt-yellow Paisley wrap dress as my foundation. Paisley, not floral :-) The bright colors culminating in a beautiful print really caught my eye and I would be styling this throughout the fall with boots, booties and layers. I did try a jersey brown long sleeve top under the dress, but it ended up a bit bulky, and I decided to go for a jacket instead. Wrap dresses, I find are flattering on every figure, and I do love the ease of it.. a pin is necessary on the lower half., especially during windy fall days! I love a military look and i am looking for a pair of olive booties! ...

IMG_8448IMG_8452Hello Ladies!I hope things are going well, and it is hard to believe that August is going this fast and soon Fall will be approaching. My favorite season without a doubt. All the things I associate with it, the mountains, hiking, camping, trees changing color, cool, crisp air, pumpkin spice everything! Charlotte has cooler temps really thoughout Sept-October, much different from Pittsburgh, where I used to live. Sept was when fall clothing was worn, October, coats. Here in Charlotte, I might just begin to wear a light jacket at the end of Oct-Nov.  I thought I would take a ride out to Mooresville, a bit of an older town, with its own charm, and I loved this vintage mural.

IMG_5002Happy Wednesday Ladies!I mentioned on Monday, that while staying in Bryson City, NC, the main reason was for us to go on a 4.5 hour ride on a 1940s rail car on the Great Smoky Mountain's Railroad. We took a lot of pictures, so I hope to give you an idea of what we experienced on the railroad, and I had to wear my 1940's style Karina Dress called the Megan for the trip. What could be more apropo? If you didn't get to read about our combined over night stay at the BNB McKinley Edwards Inn, read about it HERE.
