IMG_8442Hi LadiesMetallics have been big this year, but I have always loved them either as an accent or as a full look. Today my inspiration was from this gold maxi dress I found on sale at H&M. I loved the light material and the bit of leg one can show with the slit up the front of the dress. Built in air-conditioning, thank you very much!  I suppose I am sporting a bit of a tan, or at least some color, compared to when I was younger and used to the color "red" ( not in a good way) Oh, the things we do ( or I did!) to get tan. For more years now I protect my skin with SPF 50, wear a hat, full body suit ( no just kidding) but keep shaded ( as we had a canope this year on the beach) and make sure I am keeping out of the sun as much as possible.

 Whats on your Summer Bucket List? Is there something you want to do that you haven't yet?Let's see.. I have gone on a 60 foot schooner sailboat,  been to the Summer Pops Symphony series, went to the Outer Banks where I saw Wild Horses as well as going to a beach I've never been to before. We are going to rent a boat sometime in August when the pups in their little life jackets can go with us and the heat isn't unbearable. Just getting ready to go out soon...

( and gents)I was very happy for this collaboration to come to fruition, as I needed a new pair of prescription glasses, and Zenni  Optical was interested in working with me. In the future, I plan on doing several posts on glasses, as I have a collection at this point, but today wanted to share with you, a timely topic: What I have in my Beach/Pool Tote It was very hot at the beach in temps in the high 90s, just as it will be back here in the Lake Norman area this week. The weekend will climb to 100, So, what's a person to do? Either go to the beach or to the pool!

IMG_8250Happy Monday Ladies!Ah. A bit of rest and relaxation was just what the doctor ordered! Back from vacation, and well rested, we had an amazing time at the Outer Banks. Much to the dismay of one of the workers at the Loft, we enjoyed bringing our pups to the pup friendly Bed and Breakfast in Manteo. ( lets just say there was some eye-rolling!) when I said we were taking our dogs on vacation with us. I will be sharing pictures from the trip tomorrow and telling you a bit about the Manteo/Outer Banks/Wanchese area in which we stayed, but today I am bringing you this wonderful collaboration with the company, "Uncommon Goods" out of Brooklyn, NY. They are a company who focuses on creative design, supporting the artist community. With the generous selection of handmade jewelry that they carry, one is certainly bound to find something they love!
