img_9077img_9079Hello friends!Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. It rained Friday and Saturday all day, with Sunday leaving us with sunshine and cool weather. We had to take advantage of it! We went to a new-old part of town, one of the historic districts and enjoyed Brunch at a pretty hip place! My inner 12 year old  girl comes out when I can bring the pups and the place is Dog -Friendly. I decided I was going to make my rounds while I wait for breakfast and approach each cute puppy and their owner and ask "May I pet your puppy?" I just cant help myself. I am drawn to dogs! Anyhow, it turned out to be a lovely place we enjoyed.  A New Adventure. Speaking of  "adventure", I am here to tell you about the company I have collaborated with ( now the 3rd time) that is all about day to day adventure, JAMBU.

I was Gifted these booties for review . My opinions are honest and my own. Hello Ladies!  I am so excited today to tell you about this recent collaboration with Marmi Shoes. I collaborated with them last year, and received this fabulously made Vaneli red pointed flats with bow.  See COLLABORATION 1 HERE.  I had great service then, and was happy to collaborate again with them. This time,  however, it was all about the boots. Booties, to be more specific. When I was perusing Marmi Shoes, I was looking at the various boot styles, and realized some were a higher heel...

img_8972img_8990Hello LadiesThis is one of those transitional looks today as the temps cool a bit in Charlotte, NC. It is not as cool as I would like it to be! Well, between hot flashes and warm weather at night, I am ready for that chill in the Fall air, that briskness that allows me to pull the down comforter over my shoulders and cuddle with my pup, Gibson.  I have to work with what I've got though! So, where I would certainly wear boots, some an Over the Knee boots with this camel mini, and also throw on some patterned tights, it is not there quite yet.

  1. I usually begin by finding out how you decided on a name for your blog, but it doesn't take a Brain Surgeon to know why you named it, haha! JTouchofStyle right? If you could tell the readers why you got into fashion blogging? After I retired from dentistry, I always said I'd love to take women shopping and help them with their outfits. Yes, I'd call shopping an addiction!! Yet, I can't even remember how I found out about bloggers and blogging. However, once I started looking into it, I thought it might be a fun way to share my love of clothing!!

img_8948img_8949Hello ladies!Hard to believe September is coming to a close. However, here in NC it generally means a bit cooler temps in Oct to look forward to.  How was your weekend? Today I was in the mood to style one of my Karina dresses for Fall and I chose this orange-red-olive-coblalt-yellow Paisley wrap dress as my foundation. Paisley, not floral :-) The bright colors culminating in a beautiful print really caught my eye and I would be styling this throughout the fall with boots, booties and layers. I did try a jersey brown long sleeve top under the dress, but it ended up a bit bulky, and I decided to go for a jacket instead. Wrap dresses, I find are flattering on every figure, and I do love the ease of it.. a pin is necessary on the lower half., especially during windy fall days! I love a military look and i am looking for a pair of olive booties! ...

IMG_8865pumpkinHello LadiesI hope everyone has had a nice weekend. Today's look I was excited to style. Again, looking ahead to NYFW ( my mom is going, I can't this year) and some of the Fall Trends, this Pumpkin Spice/Rust shade is hot on the runways! Mmm. My husband laughs as each fall I get drawn in to everything "pumpkin spice." Candles, bake goods, coffee.. lattes ( of course) and now clothing.  This shade is indicitive of Fall, its rust colored beauty can be complimented by so many shades: olive, black, mustard, camel, browns., metlot , burgundy Another trend that would work quite well with this dress, is wearing a turtleneck under the dress. This is quite popular on the runway, and can take a dress from another season, into fall/Winter. If you missed my NYFW LOOK #1 inspiration: Fall Florals, click HERE.

IMG_7744Happy Friday all!I know, the middle of Sept should allow me to take out some light sweaters, perhaps a moto jacket, but not here in Charlotte, NC. It is still 90 degrees with a few days dipping to mid-80s.  By now, I am ready for Fall, the change of seasons and cooler air. Had some fun things happen this week, with the air conditioning in our car breaking down, and getting stung by a bee ( im allergic) while sitting on the deck working on the blog. My hubby is a handiman though, and was able to replace the fan and fix the air in about an hour! So, that was much better. The above look is from LOFT, and nothing says ease of summer, like a maxi dress. This beautiful sea green dress caught my eye and the jewelry I received as a birthday gift. The colorful metal floral necklace, I would be able to wear with so much.
