Did somebody say "Malbec"? I have always been more of a red wine drinker, and Spanish wines are some of my favorites. Today, I am not reviewing wines, ( as much as I'd like to!) but several products of the Vine Vera Resveratrol Malbec DNA collection.  I was gifted the collection and want to give you a review of some of the products. VineVera is a Luxury Skin Care Line where each collection is named after a particular wine, with varying ingredients. I am going to give you a bit of info from each one, and to let you know...

IMG_8733IMG_8731Hello Ladies!I hope everyone is doing well. We had our first weekend here, where we didn't feel like we spent hours in a sweat lodge! It was mid 70s and mid 80s, which is a bit cooler than it has been . I love to walk in the woods, pups in tow and just enjoy nature and quiet. We decided to go to King's Mountain, about an hour's drive, go for a short hike and have a picnic lunch. As far as today's outfit, I am sharing Denim Look #2, with the Mid waisted flared jeans, with a medium wash, super soft denim.  I have purchased dark denim clean flares, with no distressing,  just a dark rinse that I will share another time, a dressier style. I thought these were pretty cool, and I have always liked flares, just haven't worn them much on the blog yet. It has been too hot to layer as of late, so I decided to wear this brown plaid  vest for added pattern interest, and my nod to Fall, even though it hasn't hit here yet.! I mixed some floral and stripes in yesterday's blog post HERE, so check that out when you get a chance.

Hello Ladies! Today is a Special Edition of My Refined Style Linkup! It has been One Year! I have been happy to co-host with these lovely ladies and share my style and thoughts on fashion. Today I will talk a bit about what elements make mine a "Refined Style". How do I refine my style?  By now, I am sure those of you who follow me, or know me, realize that I love dresses. The ease and comfort of a dress, a great fit, can't be beat! You probably also know that I love to find unique accessories. I do...

Fashion, Spotlight On Over 40 Blogs / 25.08.2016

laurie1Hello LadiesAs summer goes, there are summer vacations and less of a hurried schedule. It has been a few months since I posted my series: Spotlight On. If you are unfamiliar, and are a new reader, I select an Over 40 Blogger to highlight and interview. It has been fun to get to know other ladies in this blog world, and find out a bit more about their style. I would like to think I have a come a long way since my Metallica T-shirts and black pants. ( Although concert tees are trending now!)    Anyhow, I am going to introduce you to my friend and fellow blogger, Laurie, of Vanity and Me.

IMG_8611Hello LadiesHere we are, nearly the end of August. Hard to believe, as it seems I was just at the beach!  Today I styled a rust printed romper from HM by wearing a crisp, white fitted blazer, a unique suede statement necklace from Zara, and my favorite gladiator sandals.  Just the name of the garment, "Romper" connotes a memory of childhood for me, with the TV program, " Romper Room". This show was from 1953 ( before my time) to 1994, and created basically a real kindergarten, with students saying the 'Pledge of Allegiance" and then going into the classroom.

IMG_8448IMG_8452Hello Ladies!I hope things are going well, and it is hard to believe that August is going this fast and soon Fall will be approaching. My favorite season without a doubt. All the things I associate with it, the mountains, hiking, camping, trees changing color, cool, crisp air, pumpkin spice everything! Charlotte has cooler temps really thoughout Sept-October, much different from Pittsburgh, where I used to live. Sept was when fall clothing was worn, October, coats. Here in Charlotte, I might just begin to wear a light jacket at the end of Oct-Nov.  I thought I would take a ride out to Mooresville, a bit of an older town, with its own charm, and I loved this vintage mural.

IMG_8514IMG_8504Hi Ladies!Lets face it, who didn't have a lemonade stand as a kid. 10 cents a pop, got you a glass of lemonade. Now, its a buck, per inflation and some young entrepreneurs. Ha! When I saw this top on Shein, I thought, yes! Now, its more about the grown up version, as I enjoy sipping some Lemoncello now and again.  All of the fruit  I eat over the summer, this top will remind me of this warm, sunny season.  I loved the Off the shoulder style, and bought one other top when shopping on the site. I also like a bright yellow for summer, although it is best kept as a skirt, and not near my face, as bright yellow may not be as complimentary there. I decided to combine the print with my yellow lace skirt for added texture as well as my Zara pine green statement necklace. I could wear this top either off the shoulder or on.

eyeglasses1Hello Ladies!I thought today I would talk more about glasses. Yes, I was ole "four eyes" since the 4th grade.  Since I have a bit of a competitive nature, when hubby and I went in to get our eye's checked I bet him that he would be the one to need "progressive lenses." Haha! Well, when we came out, neither one of us was laughing, we both needed them, blind as a bat! I had a feeling, as when my opthamologist asked me to try a portion of this test where there are nine dots and several of them are raised, to test depth perception; my first question was " Do you mean I am supposed to see raised dots?" Well, that  failed that miserably, and walked out with progressive lenses.
