IMG_6978Hello LadiesI hope you all had a great weekend and Happy Easter. .We went to a Vineyard, took the puppies and had a good time. There are a few that allow dogs, and we try and take advantage when it is nice outside. Service was great, as was a new grape, Chambourcin, a dry red varietal that is becoming more popular here. All was well, except for a few overly intoxicated women wanted to dog-nap my puppy Truffles. That is another story for another time. Easter made me think of all of the traditions in our family; Mass, Blessing the Baskets, getting together and I think hunting for Easter Baskets until we were about 25. Ha.  Easter also reminds me of Spring, and today I am reviewing an talking about my dress from Coldwater Creek. When Coldwater Creek approached me about reviewing an item on their site, I was excited as it was a familiar shop and I knew they had some lovely clothes. I was to choose two items from their site and they would send one. I initially chose this lilac blazer with all its embroidered style I thought would look wonderful adding a pretty pastel to white, a gorgeous spring shade to a dress , plenty of options. However, since this was unavailable, I chose to no surprise, a dress! Looking at their on-line site I fancied several dresses, such as the  Table for Two  dress, accentuating the waist and a staple piece. I also liked the printed Lavender Fields dress that was longer which I thought would look smashing for a wedding or just out for an  afternoon lunch.  However, the Floral Mesh Knit Dress caught my eye, in a periwinkle or "serenity' color, I liked the vertical lines in the style of the dress, adding length and giving a lean look to the wearer. The mesh material made the dress very comfortable to wear and also light for warm weather. The pattern was subtle, tiny flowers with stems made the dress look delicate as does the length and flow of the dress. The fit was quite good, if not a little loose, and I am wearing   an XS. I would also recommend a heel, albeit small or higher to give the legs length, continuing with the vertical line. Flats may be fine, but it may also look to shorten the legs as the dress comes inches past my knee. ( But I am 5 foot 9)  I also HAD to share my new fancy footwear with you too! I loved the vintage look to these B.A.I.T shoes, as I love a pretty t-strap and the lavender color caught my attention for spring. Since they have a tiny wedge, they are  do-able for me and fun to wear. Perhaps I will wear this outfit to my next Lindy Hop! :)

IMG_6884IMG_6881Hello ladies and Gents,I hope everyone had a nice weekend, as I want to know where the time went! I am still trying to adjust to Daylight Savings time, and wake up feeling tired. My boy Gibby just turns around from being in his tight little ball of fur, to staring at me knowing it's F-O-O-D time! Truffles has joined in the "Morning Stare Down", and I laugh and get out of bed. As far as weather goes,  we have had some usual record temps here in Charlotte with a few days in the 80s! Charlotte, has in the past gone from Winter to Summer, but this is just one of those spells everyone is experiencing ,and we will be back to normal temps. Today I decided to show you an outfit with pattern mixing. I have done this as a very subtle way in the past, HERE with stripes and a leopard print, and today I am sharing one of the more popular way to mix patterns, floral and stripes.

IMG_6845Happy St Patrick's Day!I had to do a post. Red hair, fair skin, green eyes, Irish. These are some of the traits that make me part Irish. However, some Irish characteristics have eluded me. I do not like beer. Those of you that know me, or have been reading the blog, know that I LOVE wine. I could talk varietals and regions if you'd like, but beer..hmm, not so much! I try. I really do. My husband likes to try different beers and I enjoy the names of some, but the taste, I have yet to find one that I like. Not a fan of hoppy flavors or strong scents. I am not a meat and potatoes girl. I love seafood, fish and chicken. Potatoes are good, espcially sweet potatoes, but that is more Southern than Irish.Follow me on  INSTAGRAM AS I AM OFFERING with other bloggers for some fun SPRING SHOPPING  $800 to NORDSTROM . Rules on IG PAGE, CONTEST ends 8:30 EST 3/18... SEE IF YOU WIN The pot of gold!

IMG_6604IMG_6612Hello Ladies and Matt,Welcome to Turning Heads Tuesday. Matt is my younger brother, and he commented that he wants to comment on my blog but that I ALWAYS begin with, "Hello Ladies", so I decided to include him in my introduction! I better hear from you, Matt!! :-)February is always a time, actually January is when I start to get antsy for Spring. I just am not a fan of cold, and the inability to take my puppies out with us to lunch or a wine bar, or anywhere for that matter. I could complain, but our winter isn't very long here in Charlotte, and the coldest months are January and February. I do like to see sunshine though. It just so happened to be the spot in which we took pictures was sunny.   I just prefer warmer days, and do believe in the "winter blues".

IMG_0491Hello LadiesWe meet again for  #turningheadstuesday. I I have been thinking about blog goals and topics and plan on doing some new things this year.  I am looking to have a series called "Pinterest Interest" where I try to emulate a Pinterest look. I know many of you love Pinterest and one could easily spend time perusing the boards for inspiration. I have other ideas in mind, budgeting on $150 a month, and hubby likes to laugh or is it cringe when I say, I am spending my $150 allotment!. Just the word "Allotment" conjures up the idea of money for chores or..very rigid spending.. I know that sounds like very little to some, but it allows me to "shop smart". More on that. You all know I love my handbags and these are investments, or something I spend more on, and they are usually gifts, or I will save for a couple of months. I also am a member of the Purse Forum, and if you are and post, after a certain amount they will verify the authenticity of a bag, as I have bought on Ebay, Poshmark etc.

Hello LadiesI hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! Ours was fun, as is anytime there is wine tasting involved. That time of year for red wines, my favorite being dry and smooth. I have yet to find a Malbec I don't enjoy, and along those lines, I also love both Tempranillo and Granache. Pinot Nior is still a delicious favorite, and a pretty safe bet as well. I love to try new wines, learn about the regions and experience new flavors. I wouldn't say my palette is developed to the point where I can say, " I smell a hint of...
