Hello LadiesWe will soon be headed to Savannah, GA for a summer vacation. Yes, we are headed to a place hotter than Charlotte! We are planning on going to Tybee Beach and will be staying in the Historic District, walking distance to many restaurants and things to do. We found a dog-friendly place, so we will be bringing our buddies. Today, I thought I would share a little gallery of my boy, Gibson as his Birthday is today and mine is tomorrow!
Hello Friends,I can still picture myself, in 4th Grade, wearing purple oversized glasses and my blue floral dress, dancing, waving a flag and singing to a patriotic song on stage. Ah, fond memories! Now, if only I knew where that picture was! I do think of the 4th of July as being the real kickoff to Summer! I love grilling out, enjoying summer wines, taking a dip in the pool, vacation time and just enjoying the sunshine. With Summer here, there are less layers to our outfits, so wearing unique, one of a kind jewelry is another way to make a statement! Hello FriendsI hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Is it HOT where you live? We had a very nice June as the temps were mild, sunny and not so humid. Now that it is July, our temps are going to be sweltering. I did take pictures of my kind of "white suit" and could picture this in a casual work setting or if you work in air conditioning. I am also wearing a dressy floral "shell" that could be worn without the jacket in hot temps.
Hi Friends! Well, it is officially summer and it is HOT! in NC. This is the time of the year that there are usually two choices: air conditioning or pool! I hope you had a great weekend. We spent part of it at the Charlotte Symphony outdoor concert, where it was Broadway night. I loved the songs from "Grease" as I had the album and remember acting it out with my girlfriend. ( I was Sandy, she was Danny :-) ). They also played songs from Les Miserables, one of my favorites being, "I Dreamed a Dream". Today I am talking about bright summer colors.
Hello Friends!I hope you had a great weekend! I thought today I would share one outfit that I put together for the 4th of July. I will be sharing several looks on the blog, if you are considering what to wear for the occasion. If you are not one to wear American flag earrings, or just want a more subtle approach to the Holiday, I put together a look with pops of red. I am wearing a blue and white sundress by Loft, ( years ago!) and added pinches of red with my nail polish ( Rock the Runway: Essie Couture) lipstick, and clutch and earrings.
