Keeping Fit at Midlife
Hi LadiesThank Goodness its Friday! We have had some beautiful days here in Charlotte over the past several week, cool breezes and the sun shining. It really does make a difference in my mood if there are a multitude of grey days and rain. That is one of the reason I left Pittsburgh. I love my hometown, don't get me wrong, but I prefer bright sunny days over cloudy. Speaking of sun, bathing suit season is here, so I hope to share with you some suits that you might enjoy if you're in the market for a new one.
Hello friends,I thought today I would wear something different, as I bought this blue linen dress from Zara last year, but didn't have a chance to wear it on the blog. I will style it several ways, but today I thought i would pair it with white trousers and espadrilles for a fresh look. We had a fun weekend, going to a new Vineyard, Roaring River Vineyard, where we ate lunch overlooking the river and scenic overlook. I had the "difficult job" of doing the wine tasting indoor, as we had the pups and hubby had to watch them. I tasted 6 wines, 2 rather unique- The Taminette ( had at one other vineyard- a white with a tinge of sweetness) and the Chambourcin red wine, a bit tarty for my taste, but rich. I ended up selecting a Viogneir, a white wine with some citrus and a medium body. It was a good day overall!
Good morning Friends,I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! We have actually had a Spring this year, as in some years in Charlotte, Spring just melds into Summer, and Summer temps! It is going to get hotter this week, however, I am ready to take a dip in the pool anyway! We were busy this weekend and enjoyed seeing the Charlotte Symphony Pops perform classic jazz tunes, while sipping wine and enjoying dinner outside.
Hello Ladies,First I want to thank you for the well wishes last week. We had a great time at my relatives house and the weather was just right most days. It was a nice change of pace and visit. I'm trying to get a bit caught up on the blog, as when I take a break, I do like to stay off the computer and only post on certain socials, giving me some "time off". I styled a more casual look yesterday and wrote about how a piece of statement jewelry can
Hi friends!I'm back from the relatives house and we had a good time. Lots of good food, company, and things to do. We saw a parade, went to a great restaurant, watched Memorial Day fireworks and had a cookout. It's the 11 hour drive home that was a bit tough! I went to a wedding shower yesterday, had a lovely time, and was thankful we didn't play some of the cheesy games like "Who could make the prettiest toilet paper wedding gown? !"Anyhow, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and I can't believe it is June already.
Hello Friends!I hope your weekend was enjoyable and you are getting some nice weather. It has been pretty hot here as of late, a bit of a heat wave in the high 80s. I enjoy sitting out on our deck int he morning to write and enjoy my coffee. I've been experiencing some difficult days with pain, so I'd like to let you know I will do my best to comment and do as much as I can. We are at my hubby's parents house to visit and for a change of environment, and will be back soon.
Hello friends,I am still in PA visiting family, but wanted to share this classic staple for my spring closet. Hope you all have a great Memorial Day if you celebrate it.As I have been looking at mixing and matching existing items in my closet, as well as purchasing a few new items here and there; I noticed one item I could use for my Spring Wardrobe. A classic- the trenchcoat. I have a collection of moto jackets as well as my trusty denim jacket, but what goes so well with the spring dresses I have in my closet? A trench!
