Morning!You know, Karina and I go way back. I've made friends with Ruby, Megan, Audrey, and Katharine. If you don't know, they are all styles by Karina Dresses, a company I have worked with since a year or so into the blog. Their styles are made in the USA, and wrinkle free. I would have to say my best friend is Ruby, ( a wrap style dress) but the other girls are a close second! I can't pass up a pretty, large floral print and chose the Megan in Breezy Hill.
Hi friends!Thanks for joining me today on Turning heads Tuesday! I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, and got to enjoy it outside with the family. Nothing says Spring and Summer like a detailed white blouse. With all of the beautiful styles out there in stores, I could find myself addicted to buying nothing but white blouses, but I have some control! :-) I have a few in my closet, a trimed tank is white lace, a white corset top, polka dot blouse, and a few more, but i am sure I will add one or two more beyond this style this year. It was love at first sight with this top... the scalloped trim and eyelet design just won me over. It is light , in cotton, and perfect for a casual or dressy look. For reference, it is a size 4, and roomy, purchased on Mango.
Good Morning!Happy Memorial Day! I hope you are enjoying the day with your family. Maybe a cookout or just hanging out, and perhaps a jump in the pool. Our pool opened May 1st here, but I know many open on Memorial Day, making the official start of summer. I also listed some SALES going on now for Memorial Day. These are brands or stores in which i shop, and there are some good deals!I know not all ladies like to wear shorts in the warmer weather. I enjoy wearing them from time to time , and will show some styles on the blog, but as an alternative, how about a denim skirt? I shared this item as one of the 10 Spring Staples for Your Closet, and do enjoy wearing mine throughout the Spring and Summer months. Basically, a cooler version of jeans. I just can't wear jeans in the summer.. the thought of the denim sticking to my legs does not appeal to me. So, I choose dresses, shorts, skirts- included this A-line button down denim skirt I bought last summer at Loft.
Happy Friday!Tell me three things you love about linen. Now, I can think of the one thing that you aren't crazy about. The fact that it wrinkles very easily.I think you accept it as part of the charm, or go insane by trying to continually iron pieces until each crease is removed. Just know, as soon as you get in your car, and then leave it, the wrinkles are going to be there again. I think accepting it as part of the style and material, you can then, ENJOY linen.
Hello ladies!I've just been dying to wear some yellow and my new shades!I knew it was time to take out my lemon print top! Doesn't it remind you of Spring/Summer? I bought it last year after seeing it on another blogger. Makes me think of a cool glass of lemonade in the summer, or kids selling at their Lemonade stands! ( they still do that!- but inflation has made a glass of lemonade -$1 :-)) I do like that I can wear this top on or off the shoulder too.I am wearing my lemon top with my new Andre Assous Cadence Espadrilles. I am thrilled to be collaborating with Andre Assous again. I have quite a few pairs of espadrilles in my closet, each different in their own way. I love this style in Gold and the shimmery gold detail makes them a bit fancier.
Morning friends!Did you watch the Royal Wedding? I did catch some of the Spectacle on TV, but am not an early morning person, so I didn't wake up at the start. It was beautiful too, and you can see it on Hulu if you didn't get to see all of it at the time. I do find fashion to be an interesting bit of the Royals, and Megan Markle's gown was both elegant and stylish. I also loved the Stella McKartney halter dress she wore. I have posted about the Queen Mother in The Crown Post, as well as introducing you to the company, Cornelia James, who makes the gloves the Queen ( and now I) wear. There is an American fascination, though with the English Royals. Do you follow them?It has been royally unpleasant here, ( ;-)as far as the weather has been concerned!! It had been raining all week this past week, so taking photos became a bit of a challenge. My hubby would look at the hourly and we would make a run for it! Those of you that love to wear casual looks, with jeans and a cute top, can find that wearing a kimono over jeans and a cami or tank, will elevate the look a bit more.
Hello friends!I hope you all had fabulous Mother's Days! I am only a pet mommy, but did send my mom a gift and card. Plus, she is coming to visit next month! I am looking forward to it. My outfit today is a neutral casual look, worn with the new top I bought about a month ago from Express. Last year, there was a 'corset trend'. - belts, tops, etc. I saw the lace up style of this tee and thought, yes! If i am going to wear a tee , its gotta have a cute design or some detail that i really like. So, I bought it in white too... :-)
Good morning ladies!I hope you enjoyed a wonderful Mother's day weekend! If you missed post, Florals for Mother's Day, have a read ;-0) My mom is in Pittsburgh, so we weren't able to spend time together, but she will be visiting soon. i sent her a necklace and card, and my siblings were going in on a Spa gift. This weekend was HOT! We had a heat wave here in the South, and the real feel was about 95! We did, however, spend Saturday at West bend Vineyards, a new stop for us, and brought the pups. We were hesitant, but found a Pargola to sit under, providing much needed shade, not to mention lots of water was on hand! I am talking about the ease of a t-shirt dress today, as one of those outfits that are so easy to wear and style and perfect for a hot day. I wore this dress to the vineyard, with a change of shoes for a more casual look.
