Good morning Friends,I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! We have actually had a Spring this year, as in some years in Charlotte, Spring just melds into Summer, and Summer temps! It is going to get hotter this week, however, I am ready to take a dip in the pool anyway! We were busy this weekend and enjoyed seeing the Charlotte Symphony Pops perform classic jazz tunes, while sipping wine and enjoying dinner outside.
Hello Ladies,First I want to thank you for the well wishes last week. We had a great time at my relatives house and the weather was just right most days. It was a nice change of pace and visit. I'm trying to get a bit caught up on the blog, as when I take a break, I do like to stay off the computer and only post on certain socials, giving me some "time off". I styled a more casual look yesterday and wrote about how a piece of statement jewelry can amplify a casual look. I have chosen one of my favorite pieces of bling to style this dressy look today.
Hello Friends!I hope your weekend was enjoyable and you are getting some nice weather. It has been pretty hot here as of late, a bit of a heat wave in the high 80s. I enjoy sitting out on our deck int he morning to write and enjoy my coffee. I've been experiencing some difficult days with pain, so I'd like to let you know I will do my best to comment and do as much as I can. We are at my hubby's parents house to visit and for a change of environment, and will be back soon.
Hello Ladies,I hope everyone had a nice weekend. It has been pretty warm here in Charlotte, our pool is open ( has opened since April 30) and the temps have climbed to 90s some days. I was recently contacted by Leota, a company I have collaborated with before HERE, and was happy to choose this dress, the Skyler Maxi in Water Lily from their Spring 2017 line. I love the bright colors, the fabric, the ease of dress and the non-wrinkle factor. I'll be visiting my husband's family this week, ( road trip) so I'll do my best to visit and comment when I can.
Hello friends!Happy Monday! I hope all of you Moms had a wonderful Mother's Day! I called my mom, as she is in Pittsburgh. It has been pretty rainy here, but I was excited to put on my new sunglasses, nevertheless. I would have loved more sun out to show you my sunglasses but I think there will be many more opportunities! This week is supposed to be in the 80s and sunny already. Coastal Sunglasses got in touch with me about collaborating and I was quite excited to do so as they have a great selection of glasses and sunglasses.

Ive posted my favorite spring dress on the blog below with its delicate embroidery as I fall for this Spring trend. I do remember growing up seeing the Tamburitzans, a Ukrainian Dance company, with intricate embroidered dance outfits and being quite taken with them.
Hello friendsHow was your weekend? We went to a new vineyard, Shadow Springs Vineyard, in the Yadkin Valley, to try their new Spring offerings. Gibby and Truffles met Buddy, a 15 year old poodle who was the mascot at the vineyard and so sweet. We tasted 7 wines and ended drinking a bottle of Viognier with a slight oaky taste. It was a beautiful afternoon, and I hope to bring you some posts on various vineyards in the area.Glad you are here for Turning Heads Tuesday! I received this hand painted scarf as "Thank you' for the work I have done from Uno Alla Volta and I knew I could put together a look with it that would feature the scarf and be complimentary in color. What a nice treat! I wasn't required to do a post, but I thought, why not style this beautiful scarf straight away!
Hello FriendsThis has to be one of my favorite skirts. I don't usually gravitate toward stripes, but I love the sides of this skirt designed at an angle to draw the eye inward. I've bought a couple of striped spring items, but they have to have some unique detail that attractes me to it.One can never have too many pencil skirts! They are classic and perfect for any shape. I found this skirt on Poshmark from Ann Taylor for a mere $20 and it was like new! I also bought this Zara Victorian-esque like top in black lace from Poshmark....
