Mixing Patterns for Spring with a Scarf
This is the first year in about 3 years, that Spring hasn't immediately turned to Summer, here in Charlotte, NC. Typically, we may get two weeks of cooler weather and rain, and then Boom! It's 85 degrees in April. Well, Spring has been here, albeit more rain that I want, but cooler temps and flowers abound. I am wearing a thrifted Ann Taylor sheath dress styled with a bright floral scarf and white jacket, mixing prints in the process.
Spring is in the air! I am just waiting to sit outside on our deck and work on the blog. Nothing like waking up to the sound of birds chirping and sunshine. Today I am styling a dress from my closet, a lilac sheath with a silk scarf and peachy heels for some colorful Springtime ensemble.
Mother Nature? Did you hear me? It is officially Spring, according to our calendar, and I expect some sun! Well, I try. It is slowly creeping its way here, isn't it? Well, for today's sake, our Stylish Monday ladies, including myself, styled what we think of as Spring.
Its been one heck of a couple of weeks. It has rained here in Charlotte, for 9 days in a row. Our puddles have puddles. In the front yard, it looks as if we have a pond, and I can hear the frogs croaking at night. You get it!? So, among all of the rain and flooding, it makes it difficult to take blog photos. We made it happen one morning when the rain ceased for a bit.
Good Morning ladies!Happy New Years Eve! I hope you had the most wonderful of Holidays and enjoyed Christmas with your family. I am sharing a winter outfit with some fancy brocade booties and faux leather as the last outfit post on 2018...
Hello ladies!Woot-Woot 2 more weeks until Christmas.
This is one of those shop your closet looks for the Holidays. All pieces are from my closet, or bought secondhand, and I enjoy putting things together that I already have for the Holidays. The new item I am wearing are the Kendra Scott gold earrings, they are so nice! I've created a gold and off white look today with a touch of leopard. The skirt is one of my favorites and has gold threading throughout. So, expect to see a few more Holiday looks as I love dressing up for this special Day.
Hello FriendsI hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Is it HOT where you live? We had a very nice June as the temps were mild, sunny and not so humid. Now that it is July, our temps are going to be sweltering. I did take pictures of my kind of "white suit" and could picture this in a casual work setting or if you work in air conditioning. I am also wearing a dressy floral "shell" that could be worn without the jacket in hot temps.
Hello friends,I thought today I would wear something different, as I bought this blue linen dress from Zara last year, but didn't have a chance to wear it on the blog. I will style it several ways, but today I thought i would pair it with white trousers and espadrilles for a fresh look. We had a fun weekend, going to a new Vineyard, Roaring River Vineyard, where we ate lunch overlooking the river and scenic overlook. I had the "difficult job" of doing the wine tasting indoor, as we had the pups and hubby had to watch them. I tasted 6 wines, 2 rather unique- The Taminette ( had at one other vineyard- a white with a tinge of sweetness) and the Chambourcin red wine, a bit tarty for my taste, but rich. I ended up selecting a Viogneir, a white wine with some citrus and a medium body. It was a good day overall!
