Pastels and My Watercolor Skirt
Morning!I am still on the road, making my way back to Charlotte tonight. I am exhausted from the trip, it took us 10 hours to get to the Burgh. and probably the same to get back. The pups were so good, just sleeping all of the way. We had a surprise birthday party for my mom, as myself and my siblings have been planning for awhile. we brought my mom back to Charlotte, for some relaxation and to hang out with my sis and I. You can read a bit more about it tomorrow.Pastels for Spring is something that seems to be popular every year. I decided to wear a soft pink shell, but bring it to life by adding this colorful watercolor skirt. If you are going to wear a pastel and have fair skin, this is one way of adding some "oomph' to your look. Your eye is brought to the colors in the skirt, even if the top is more subdued.
Hi friends! Thanks for joining me today on Turning heads Tuesday! I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, and got to enjoy it outside with the family. Nothing says Spring and Summer like a detailed white blouse. With all of the beautiful styles out there in stores, I could find myself addicted to buying nothing but white blouses, but I have some control! :-) I have a few in my closet, a trimed tank is white lace, a white corset top, polka dot blouse, and a few more, but i am sure I will add one or two more beyond this style this year. It was love at first sight with this top... the scalloped trim and eyelet design just won me over. It is light , in cotton, and perfect for a casual or dressy look. For reference, it is a size 4, and roomy, purchased on Mango.
Hello friends!I hope you all had fabulous Mother's Days! I am only a pet mommy, but did send my mom a gift and card. Plus, she is coming to visit next month! I am looking forward to it. My outfit today is a neutral casual look, worn with the new top I bought about a month ago from Express. Last year, there was a 'corset trend'. - belts, tops, etc. I saw the lace up style of this tee and thought, yes! If i am going to wear a tee , its gotta have a cute design or some detail that i really like. So, I bought it in white too... :-)
Hi Ladies!. As I slowly add new pieces to my spring wardrobe, I purchased this delicate chiffon scarf with its lovely mix of olives, plum, pinks, lavender and blue, as i styled it previously, in this port -
Good morning Friends,I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! We have actually had a Spring this year, as in some years in Charlotte, Spring just melds into Summer, and Summer temps! It is going to get hotter this week, however, I am ready to take a dip in the pool anyway! We were busy this weekend and enjoyed seeing the Charlotte Symphony Pops perform classic jazz tunes, while sipping wine and enjoying dinner outside.
Hello friends!Hope you had a great weekend. It was a busy one, as I voted early, went to the Opthamologist and got a new script for my glasses, and enjoyed Verde, a Mexican restaurant that is only 10 minutes from us. We still are loving the "taste of New Mexico" so I tried the least spiciest dish on the menu, and had a very good Agave Nectar Margarita! Sunday we went and saw " Dr Strange" with one of my favorite's Benedict Cumberbatch! woo-wee! It was great!Today I am wearing one of my favorite colors for fall ( perhaps I say this a lot) olive green. I decided to take this sweater dress( again, an easy dress to wear in the fall) and layer it with this menswear brown plaid vest. I have shared some looks with this vest or similar, over the year in the spring ( worn with jeans), last fall ( with a mini skirt and menswear booties) and now, with this look that has a bit of feminine and masculine in it.
